The Snowboarding Thread v. No skiers allowed

^ thats a great feeling.. All the groves in my base plate acquired by early season conditions just make me smile.. cause the runs those groves were caused from were the ones that made me iron ready for when the dump finally came.. shit fat powder dont care how many grooves you have... just want to know where your endurance and skills are at.. hit it early season.. even if it ain't all that cause it makes us all that when it counts I say.

I know I shared this with care and its not a snowboarder flick.. but it speaks enough to an amazing life and were our hearts lie so I'm throwing it down anyway..,

ohmagawd I cant wait for snow

Im going to have to go up to my local resort a few times before february, I cant wait that long

I picked up my season pass today!

Normally $350, I got it for $99 cause I "edited" my college transcript to make it look like I was still a student.

So Ive got a 10 day trip to telluride where all I had to do was buy my plane ticket, a season pass to my local resort and a brand new board setup this year, all for about $750. I think I did well.

Lets hope! According to my buddy that lives there early feb is the best time for snow too (which is when im going).

actually looks like its in the steamboat all the way to the springs early season dump.. that's alright because it can change but wow look at steamboat 32 inch (81.28) before Nov.. yaaap might just be going off in the boat this year. dont loose heart but T ride has zilch, but most places have zilch at this time every year.. keep checking and look into wolf creak if you end up getting boned, but I wouldn't even be close to thinking that way AT ALL NOW.. but I remember a weather pattern like this that dumped 23.5 feet on SB when i liven there, in one month, while leaving Vail dry as a bone (less than two hours drive and as the crow flies must have been a hop skip).. jet streams and the continental divide pay wild games around their.. but >>>>>>wolf creek gets dumped no matter what.. check out the waterfall is you take mandatory air and make it to WC=D

re stated:

often time the snow comes in a pattern that comes from the jet stream.. often times in early season it begins in CO in the nort and west of the continatial devide (the rocky montians that devide north america).. so that J stream will push heavy snow on SB which is west of the CD.. then the pattern will get slammed against the Ct if it is "low" (by low on this I mean altitude) and then it will get shot south becasue it gets jammed up on the CD, if it hits in the right place it will form an "eddie" same eddie you know if you paddle or fish.. then this edie of snow can sit over a particular place and dump till you are sick of digging off you roof=D, but then it will bounce down the CD and end up hitting the coridore or I 70 coridore wotch is sounth of CB.. guess i wil look for a top map so you can see this.. looking.

so in a nut shell you have the jet stream with two different pressures and level of "humidity" when one pressure slips over the other system who's moisture content is set to the other pressure then you will have to have an equalization of the equation and we get mad snow as a result.. also if the jet stream depicted is lower in altitude then it runs into the CD and is pushed south to the I 70 corridor and vail etc.. so what i am saying is that the ether patten isn't the best for t ride right now but that shit shifts fast so dont worry. If it gets close and you are still not looking good then see if you guys can trade a couple of the comps at T ride for some at wolf creek cause that place is in a place where it JUST GETS DUMPS..
