Yes mate, it is me in both pics. I am a little nuts when it comes to boarder parks. I generally ride full speed at the jumps and try to pull off anything i can for an adrenalin buzz.
 
Thats sick man, I could get the air to do flips, and can do them on trampolines, but never had the confidence to try them on a board.
 
Its quite nervy sitting at the top of the hill staring down the jump. But once you stand up and go all out at the jump/kicker your brain kicks in, when you hit the lip of the jump it feels like slow motion and you just throw your shoulder back. If you can do it on trampolines you sure as hell can do it on a snowboard bro. I learned backflips on a trampoline too.

We were doing speed reps at Kirkwood yesterday (because wtf is there to do when its a groomers only day right?) and my friend who is a tele-skier hit 71 MPH on the backside. She was so thrilled and unnerved at the same time. My app kept saying my max was 51MPH which I know is inaccurate because I was hitting 55MPH+ in less "speedy" conditions 2 weeks ago. :\

I wanted a longer freeride board that can do some freestyle too. I also wanted a good brand and the total package to be under 500. I really like CAPiTA (not made in china), and this board was one of the best values i could find so I went with it. I also kind of rpefer less flashy boards so it suits my style. As ive mentioned before, Ive had my old setup since I was 14 (im 26 now) so this was a large and long overdue upgrade. Also, im going to Telluride again this winter. Can it be winter yet?
 
that board looks like a steal. did you test it or just buy unseen? how about the boots - buy them online without trying them on?

i hope you went with the blue board and the yellow bindings...
