The Snowboarding Thread v. No skiers allowed

I really hope we are going to get the epic dump we have been pining for since December this week. Rain is in the forecast all week into the weekend. :D

I was watching tahoe, they got like 15" every day for a week or something. Lucky.

I went riding a few days ago and it was t-shirt weather. Got a nice tan.

Great powder day at Kirkwood today and the biggest storm of the season is heading through tonight. Another 2' expected by tomorrow morning. :)

I may be boarding this sunday if everything falls in place. Yayuh for late storms.

When I lived in CT I would always head up to mount Killington in Vermont... One of my favorite places. Haven't been there in awhile. Down in PA I'd always go to Blue Mountain in the Poconos.. Awesome place as well. Didn't go snowboarding this year :( was super busy with work and my snowboard is still at my old place with all of my other things.

Its been too warm to board where I live recently. icy in the morning and slushy by 1pm. Not worth it even with a season pass. Plus im working 30 hours a week and taking 15 units at uni so im swamped anyways. Hoping for a better early season next year.

Yeah man, I get everywhere in colorado free and I can't even be fucked to drive 30 minutes to schralp the mashed potatoes.

Supposed to be taking the girlfriend to A-Basin tomorrow. Skim the slush pond n shit.

If I had the weekend off Id go. It was really cold and rainy today, must be at least a foot of powder up there.

well, for the first time in 9 years, i just bought a season pass! the tahoe local pass is ridiculous value - 7-days a week at heavenly, northstar and kirkwood for $419 is insane.

see you up there :)

After being burned with a weak snow season after buying an early season pass last year I decided not to do it again.

However, in place of buying a pass I am flying to telluride Colorado for 8 days of snowboarding goodness with my buddy. A trip like this would usually cost thousands of dollars, but my friends dad manages a hotel in town and can hook it up with a free place to stay and free ski passes!

Also got round trip tickets to Montrose for $200, bags and all!

I am so excited about this trip, it will be a well earned vacation after the merciless grind that has been my life over the last 4 months. I cant wait!

Pacific Northwest Snowboard & Ski thread~!

Figured I'd try and see who all is up in the PNW and likes to hit up the mountain?
I live in Portland, Oregon and ride (board) Mt. Hood about 1x/week minimum.
I bought a pass to Mt. Hood Meadows this year for the first time!
For the past 10 years I have bought timberline or fusion (timberline+skibowl) season passed pretty much every year minus two for a broken ankle.
Its not even worth it to not buy a pass anymore a single day lift ticket to meadows is $89!!~~

But really anyone here ride at all!
Sure would be sweet to meet some BL'ers in an non rave/EDM type setting lol!
