My experience with Australian women is that they have no idea of what they really want, and if they somehow do find something they want, somehow it just doesnt seem to last very long.

^ Tis true. From what I've seen anyway. But not necessarily a bad thing. Nothing is more lame than someone rushing into a relationship purely for the sake of being in a relationship.

^^^So true.Although I'd say its more reckless than lame.

Wow,we have a lot of bitter singles in here! Why not just enjoy the freedom?I've found that love can cloud the mind pretty well.

And gher, sounds like you have one dilly of a pickle pal.I just hope you're not missing out on other oppurtunities because you're mind is so set on one girl.I had a mate that was pretty hung up on someone and it made him blind to what he could've had.

And from the American girls I've met, they're as much as a handful as the Aussies.

I love chicks with accents, especially yanks and pommies.

Being single can suck when all your freinds are married and having kids or in relationships. "Dates over mates".... "Women over mates" (WOM) is another one I've heard. "You're just a WOM".

Nothing is more wrong, the potential for pain is high when it surprise surprise, doesn't work out. When i was single i couldn't stress this enough.

P.s wow this thread has resurrected from the death lol, did everyone go and get un-single did they? =D

^ Heh, unlikely. Maybe everyone's just in the happy-to-be-single-and-don't-really-need-to-talk-about-it stage.

I'm pretty much furniture in this thread. It's almost 6 years since I started posting and I think I've been out of here for a total 9 months in that time and a third of that was spent as part of a relationship that was on it's way out for the last 3 months ;)

Is it shallow to turn someone down for a date because they are a terrible speller? I mean a really terrible speller?

It depends how good at spelling you think I am...

Well would you spell heard "hurd" Rated E? And more importantly, are you asking me on a date?

haha

Pretty sure I would spell it "heard".

Unless I was referring to what you came from, then I would spell it "herd".

And yea I would ask you on a date, but this is the singles thread, so it's against the rules here. :(

Yes i think it is. I mean, are they still a good person? Respectful? Handsome?

My cousin is a top IT guy in the city and he earns shit loads of cash - but he is a really bad speller. But, he is still rich and so is his wife. I bet she is glad she didn't reject him because of his spelling. ;)

With moves like that I'm sure you'll be in this thread a long, long time Rated E.

So DFRS, its not shallow to value good looks and money in a relationship, but valuing language skills is?

Definately not! Spelling is so basic. If you can't spell what can you do?! Fuck all, I'd say! Definately not date material in my books.
