The Photography Thread: Double Exposure

Chuck another bit of admiration on the heap from me Damien - some beautiful pics there :)

Have you had any kind of training, experience, education or whatnot in photography? Or design? Or any of other the visual arts? If not then you are an absolute natural and really would do well to look into it sometime :)

Felix: My what a long lens you have there!!! Careful - you may just have somebody's eye out with that 8(:D8o

Thank you. :) I has none. I just kind of make it up as I go. I wouldn't even know where to start with gigs or anything.

Or just leave it like that, a la Albert King ;)

Been fucking around with long exposures lately, it's not going as well as I hoped :|. This is probably the one I hate the least lol =D.

Took this whilst tripping for the first time on a bus, and must say it's quite an apt picture.

This is just a picture I took today that I quite like.

She's got a haircut like her old man. ;)

P.S.
I've no idea whether you have hair or not. But if she does boy was the above funny.

CB: Having tripped on 2cd+2cb the other day that picture on the bus looks somewhat familiar :D Nice snaps :)

Damien: Your pictures are truely beautiful :)

Currently rocking this myself, aint a bad lil camera like. But I just can't get it to take pictures how I want :(. What kind of things editing wise do you do to them? Would be interesting to give it a go myself.

That's cool. Do you like it? Are you using the kit lens? What kind of problems are you having when you're trying to take the pics you want?

Mostly minor tweaks to the levels, saturation, color balance stuff like that. The best way to learn IMO is to look up tutorials on the net. If you don't have photoshop I've heard great things about Gimp ( http://www.gimp.org/ ). I hear it's just as functional as photoshop and best of all, it's free.

GIMP Tutorials

Edit: I missed the first pic in the ones you posted above. That's sick looking!

I could take good pictures, I just don't have the faintest clue about correct ISO settings, aperture and the likes to use. I'm a photography noob :D.
