i assume mdma is medically better for you than heroin though.. so why not

I think that you assume wrongly. Assuming both products are pure and correctly administered heroin has no effect detrimentally in a physical or psychological sense, MDMA is an unknown quantity regards that.

Indeed, MDMA is certainly detrimental to a persons health.

I suspect the liver is possibly damaged if MDMA is abused as well as the possible neurotoxicity i cant see MDMA getting perscribed, not in my life time anyways.:\

The title got my attention right away... I don't think I will be dropping pills anymore when the US gov't finally jumps on....

Really? I haven't heard of massive liver problems with MDMA use. Could you point me to where I could read about that?

MDMA is already in a few clinical trials for PTSD.

^ No doubt, I agree with you about that point. MDMA is not for daily or weekly (or even monthly) use ;)

I am still curious to know if there is any known liver damage from MDMA, I didn't think it affected the liver any more than any other stimulant such as amphetamine. (mostly due to increased stress on the body).

I think this is the most hopeful bit of news about MDMA with regards to wide acceptance. I definitely think MDMA will slowly gain back it's reputation for a fantastic psychotherapy tool like back in the seventies and early eighties. From there I think is where the regulations on it might be lessened, if at all (not that I'm holding my breath or anything).

the US will never do this. weve wasted so much money fightin the drug war, for the government to admit they were wrong wasting that much money. plus there are way to many dumb jesus blessed republicans :(

canadas population is about to skyrocket

I could see a providence in Canada or another more liberal country creating a new law system for this proposal, but most US political members are not keen upon this, nor is the law enforcement community.

There are a few public political figures in the US that agree with such a proposal. I live in Buffalo and our County Executive Joel Giambra feels that drugs should be decriminalized, he made this statement on thursday 4/20/06(kinda funny) he hasn't stated which ones or whatnot.

New York since the Rockefeller laws were taken off the books, has a fairly liberal Marijuana policy, it's pretty much a $75 fine the first time if you are caught with I believe aprox an 1/8th or less, 150 if u are caught again, and then your third time I believe jail time and a much larger fine is a possibility. The time I was caught the officer made me bust my piece and grind the marijuana into the ground with my foot and that was all.
Anyways here is a small article from Buffalo.com about Giambras statement.

it's this whole perception that is the problem, they are not wasting the money from their point of view (not to mention that it is wealth redistribution (us->them if you will) to begin with), they are rich, they do any drug or any other thing they want, law serves the wealthy, it was designed that way, the usa is doing exactly what it was designed to do, the constitution is the most cleverly crafted piece of pr to wit

why do you think the pharma cos i mean fda is so against med mj? the war on drugs, the war on terror, the prison economy, the ability to infringe on the rights of the other 90%, don't you get it man?

you wanna make a difference? forget what you know, become one of them and then see how you feel about the world, real change starts from within

" all these storys about dreams, when will it be a reality "

when people realise reality is evolving
and when people realise evolution accelerate
then we will put human forward instead of institution

( in 5 year ? (im from canada...))

We already have free heroin supply for addicts in our country. People can get pure heroin there or methadon if they wan't to trie and stop using h.
Weed is kinda legal here, you just aren't allowed to grow your own, but you can go to special shops to buy some weed (if you are 18 that is)

i don't see any of this happening anytime soon
- didn't they just reject 'medical marijuana'? if anything, weed would have been the first stepping stone, but.. not anymore i guess

No, I think they know (since it's the obvious truth) that meth is way safer than pot. They're going to provide methamphetamine, ritalin, coke and opiates to anyone of any age,but the devil's weed, nuh-uh poopy face.
