A break from thought is always niice. Enjoy :)

Hmm, I feel like smoking, got a nice 1/2 oz t'other day- its so sativic that its almost psychedelic...I love having a low weed tolerance :) <3

I had some pleasant swirls in my periphials after smoking a blunt of some kush this morning

I can only imagine it would be a lot more intense if I was to take a break from the ganja. I just seem to be smoking more and more after each year goes by. I dont really notice any bad effects from it besides the killer munchies I get every night. It pretty hard to cut back when people blaze around you all the time , for me its damn near impossible

Damn Ecto; I just watched that. Amazing video. Great intro to people who don't know what the tar sands are about. I especially like the last few lines that the narrator spoke at the the end of the video. It's a harsh truth.

If any of you guys want to see a good video on the subject, it's only 7.5 minutes and it's a good watch.

Much appreciated Swilow, I must say your taste is quite well-rounded. Have you checked out SepticFlesh?
\

Yeah, their awesome, Sumerian Daemons and Communion are some of my favorite albums ever :) If you like them, you should check out Vesania from Poland. They play more black symphoncic stuff, but really epic and over the top in a good way.

I like Septic Flesh's take on symphonic metal the most out of all those symphonic bands...

Ecto; Just don't show the giant plumes of smoke coming from the extraction plants. One barrel of oil burned for every 2 extracted. Not to mention the life filled forest cleared to gain access to the bitumen. :(

Charlie; I found my book bag from high school a couple months ago. In it I found a pack of flavoured rolling papers; a small bag of miscellaneous benzos and 2 percocets in saran wrap. :)

you're right.

and of course there's all of the natural water resources getting drained for the project
and waterways getting polluted. ecosystems becoming destroyed.

a project the size of new york state. the largest project ever undertaken, defacing the earth and scarring it beyond repair for the crudest scrap of oil.

it shows how desperate THEY are to keep capitalism running. our economy is dependent upon a non sustainable resource.

Yeah, pretty ridiculous. The epitome of an addiction f I ever saw it. Instead of rehab they just want to go deeper.

I wonder though, China's multiplying coal fired power plants vs. oil sands; I wonder which is worse. The pictures I see of the air in China is absolutely obscene. I don't know how they can live in that stuff.

It gonna crash unless we do something about it no doubt. Like that video says; when we do crash, it's going to be messy.

I just hope the planet will still be somewhat inhabitable so those that desire to can maintain simple lives in the forests.
