Need to try a diff country or state lol. I from NY but seen a growing intollerance towards pain management patients. They pharmacies are even worse. Maybe if your a millionaire things are diff. Midtown dope doctors heeeeeheee to the elite. My time almost up in ny just have to live thru this summer of hell. System will eat you alive over here, designed to drive people insane and its working.

Hey folks,

Been a few months since I've really been active and just thought id check in at this point:

I am currently down to 90mg oxycodone daily (from 240mg to 180mg over 8 months and 180 to 90 in 3 and a half months) and 20mg methadone daily. Its nothing short of a miracle in my mind and my physical therapy has progressed slowly but steadily even as I continue to drop 15mg at a time. I am not sure if I will end up taking any painkillers daily and if it will become more of a PRN thing.

This taper has been successful because I don't have access to the bottles. It makes me feel like its a bit of a cheat...I have never successfully tapered in my life whether it was tar or Oxys or whatever. Doing this taper has given me a bit of solitude as it feels like a real accomplishment for a reformed dope head and it inspires my effort in physical therapy and ultimately toward my life goals... (I hope)

Well done mate!! Thats a fantastic achievement!! It really is so helpfull to have someon hold your pills.for you. Unfortunately I live alone and have no-one to look after mine. I think that while tapering its imperative to have someone you can trust dish your pills for you.

Giving someone your meds in order to cut back or to prevent abuse is NOT cheating...I'd call it being responsible. Don't be hard on yourself ;your'e doing great.
I also let someone hold my meds for me...but in the end, I wind up coming across them and I find it VERY hard to stay out of it :(
Congratulations!

Wow thats a high dose, you must have real painful condition. I never thought of having my girl hold my pills, because she would steal them anyway lool. I think my oxy dose after surgery was close to 500mg per day and not even working. I telling you massive dose and no effect. Nobody even knew I was on anything or taking what would be leathal dose to most every day for? ??? Months. That scared me the dose soo high and no effect which started this whole issue for me. I switch to subs which started off rough then stabilized over years. Now on nothing but nsaids and its not soo bad. Sometimes all the pain meds in the world cant take it away. For me had to recharge my body naturally without over medicating. Everyone have diff story, interesting the way people heal.

Hi realize this is an old post but thought I would reply anyway
I have had schuermanns disease since about the age of 13 it actually got
Better after the birth of my child, I have found though that the pain
Meds I take for an unrelated illness really help with the occasional although
Very painful flare up . I.e. gabapentin, amitriptyline and fentanyl.

How was the disease described to you I was told it was a curvature
Of the spine to the left or right , rather than front or back and that
The bone became rough and as nerves touched the roughened bone
That would cause the pain.

I found that explaining how my work life and home life was negatively
Affected by the pain made the Dr more amenable to prescribing the level of pain relief I needed. Maybe just the honest approach is the best. Hope you get the help you need

I must say I agree about fentanyl patches, they were described to me as
The best thing I would ever take by my specialist and was scared sensless
By reports of repressed breathing etc, but for me there was nothing no relief, no side effects good or bad. Even after titrating to 3 times the initial starting dose. Would be interested to hear of anyone who has had any relief and at what doseage.

After 3 surgeries on leg for 3 bullet wound I have been on everything and then some. My opiate tolerance is beyond that of normal human so I started suboxone treatment for detox/pain management. Now after loosing insurance I on nothing and pain is building. I guess my question is what otc meds do you recomend for pain management and wds syptoms. I realize its a real impossible question but maybe someone has a trick up they sleeve lol. Taking nsaids now only with no effect.

are you able to do body weight squats or any form of exercise?
your best bet at this point may be to push through the pain and strengthen your body if possible.

OTC pain meds are pretty useless beyond really minor stuff or temporary inflammation, and can cause real side-effects with long-term use.

Before heatwave I was mountain biking every day to sweat it out of my system, the subs. It works everytime for me. I pedal thru H, oxy, you name it. Just need that hour or two a day. Without I feel like crap like right now. Its soo hot I can't move. Soon as heatwave over I back in action. Pedaling is best rehab I've found plus the riding I do release natural endorphines. All I take is nsaids in a.m. to get loose. Leg real bad in a.m. but after than I good to go. If you saw me riding would have no clue I have all this hardware holding leg/hip together. Its pretty gross, I cant even look at my xrays. Any doc would give me anything but I have a drug history and insane tolerance to all meds. 6 beers I trashed but 500mg liquid ox I feel nothing and looking at clock for next dose. This why I can't do drugs.

I was involved in competitive bodybuilding and powerlifting for many years before my joint issues worsened and still find exercise extremely effective for combating pain and opiate wds. The big paradox is that sometimes the pain is too bad to even begin any exercise to make the pain improve......catch 22!!

Getting motivated to go excercise used to be taking meds. Tough breaking that pattern and continue to function at same level. I hoping body heals over time, not that old yet but feel it. I went out today on early ride. Feeling good all day, by 5-6 couldnt move. I not a summer person, hate it. Can't wait for cold gloomy winter training, bring it.

don't bet on ever gittin treated as a real person from any PM operation. ive been goin since 2007 when the DEA took over prescription pain meds. I had a great Dr. who trusted my pain levels and would treat me with faith, dignity and respect. so whats the 1st thing the DEA does? runs him out of business with a threat of incarceration for givin out to much pain meds. he was 74 and had major back pain himself. the only Dr. I ever really admired. so here I am...7 years later, 5 PM's later and im on a lower dosage then I was in 2006. they always use the line..."the DEA says we cant give you any more pain medicine. they made a mistake that took them 6 months to discover last Dec. I was on, Fentanyl patches.1- 100mmg every other day, plus 140 lortab #10. plus 140 Percocet #10, plus .05 Xanax twice a day, plus zanaflex .4 -3 times a day, plus lyrica,100mg. or 90 per mth......now they take the lyrica down to 60, no more lortab and Percocet, and tell me it was a mistake. they replaced those loses with 140 15mg. oxycodone aka Roxicodone. I have a progressive nerve disease, fiber neuropathy in both legs and fingers, this is the most painfull disease anyone could ever have. and I have kidney stones pass before. it feels like yer feet are in hot oil while a vice is squeezing yer feet or theres a 100 # weight on yer toes. 2nd. I have artheopenia arthritis in my joints, it makes yer bones porous and yer joints acceptable to cartilage breakage, ligament weakness and tendonitis. 3rd, I have hepititus "C" which is a liver disease, 4th. I have 5 bulging discs, L-1 thru L-5, and spinal something ititis, 5th I also have a combo disease. fibromyalgia with tarsal tunnel syndrome. my whole body is gone. every muscle, bone, nerve, liver and a blood disease and the PM im at now tells me I have to live with this pain and they know its a serious progressive nerve disease. so they start taking down my pain and nerve meds and what happens? I start a series of blackouts where I come out with injuries. the last 6 blackouts I currently now have, had 2 concussions, 4 fractures of my fibula at my ankle, my eyesight from a fall off my front porch has given me blurred and double vision (and I only have one eye) and to top all this, the Ga. State police charged me with a DUI driving while under the influence of prescription medications. no illegal drugs, no alcohol. I don't do that stuff. haven't since 1980. and while the County police let me go, the Ga. state police tore my left rotator cuff 100% thru. heres the catch 22. I cant afford an attorney cuz I live off disability, I cant pay a fine, I cant lose my license cuz I need to have a ride to see Drs. and food only, and if convicted, it would cost me an avg. of $2000. without a lawyer. I have no money from all the hospital bills, co-pays and mri's, xrays and tests. so far my out of pocket is already over $1000 for medical bills. plus the DMV has a $6200 lien on my home. want to hear any more? ive got to be cursed. I cant leave the state and my mom is 92 and I may never have the money to go see her in Ct. before she dies. talk about a life? what life. I forgot to mention the DUI im charged with was in a junkyard/garbage dump that I was doing a community clean up your neighborhood service and me and a pal picked up 35,000# of trash from the roadside and gutters. now go figure a nicer guy youll never know. im on my community board of directors. we have only 5 out of 7 left. the others quit so we all have to work harder. my left shoulder hurts, my rite foot is in a brace cast for 6-8 weeks. then I have to have my surgery to fix the rotator cuff after my leg/foot heals. so whats on yer plate. it cant possibly be worse than the next news. my auto ins. com. says they will cancel me if convicted, my license will be suspended, all plates have to be brought into the MVD or they charge u $65 per mth. till paid. all registrations are cancelled, but u still have to pay all the taxes on the 3 vehicles I have. what a crock of shit! then theres a $ fine $300- $2500, a license reinstatement fee of $240, a DUI school fee of $280, court costs, on and on and on. its a frickin nightmare. I need a lawyer pro=bono. hell ill give him a car I got. I have no one in Ga. I live all alone with my girlfriend (dog) Bubbalouie. I have no neighbors. all my friends work or are disabled too. so where do I go? what do I do? I ever had a nuerologist tell me he could get me on a morphine pump in 2009, but the PM Doc. there changed it to prialt. when I went to check this new drug out, I discovered it had a 92% fail rate from side effects. not one good word from any of the trials. tonyo

Tonyo, you def have the worst symptoms/condition/circumstances on here I have seen. Would suggest getting out of Ga. They starting new programs, check for which states but you going to be covered, hospital bills lol, who pays those. Send the state police your hospital bill and note from doc, as you move out of state. Florida right there bro, we all know what go on there with pain management- free for all. Ct. has good hospitals/programs. Wish you the best and don't let the misserables interferre with your condition. I know exactly what you talking about with the dea shutting docs down, my old dr dissapeared, she still alive you think????? Theres always the street pharmacy. Thats where I go and not affraid to talk about it. They want some court problems bring it. You def have a case btw. Find sympathetic young lawyer, would probable kick the crap out of Ga attournies.

Hey england how it going mate? I had a question for you after hearing you did some body building etc. Have you heard of this new russian monster mix-english translation? Its real controversy right now. I thinking about getting some, think it would help me in many different ways. Check out ingredients http://www.getmonstermix.com/

HeyRodRamsey,I looked at the ingredients of that supplement which are......rhodiola rosea extract, tongkat ali root, deer antler powder, andtribulus terrestris (45% extract), along withcreatine monohydrate, L-glutamine, L-arginine, octacosanol,ZMA,and alpha lipolic acid
It looks like amix of various testosterone boosters, amino acids, and insulin moderators. The problem is thebonly thing that gives steriod like results is.steroids. Most of these supplements fall well below par in terms ofbactual results. I.competed in bodybuilding for nearly 15 years and personally thing your money is better spent on quality food, a.good protein supplement and hard work in the gym......and if your so predisposed to do so then anabolic steroids. You couldbtry this stuff but I bet you would be dissaponted.....thats why they offer big discounts for buying several.bottles as people.are unlilely to reorder .....if itvworked they aouldnt need to do that.......I wouldnt buy it but if you can afford it theres no harm in trying it....dont expect too much tho......good luck mate.

If you're feeling done in after a workout I find a lavender steam inhale session can help. Chuck in a tiny bit of eucalyptus and tea tree but mostly lavender, pour in a large bowl of boiling water with a few drops of lavender oil and put your face over the bowl with a towel over it and sit with it for 10 mins. Can really relax you and makes you focus on breathing and help to calm down. Also when it comes to T-boosting, a lot of these supplements have marginal effect when used on their own. Often you're as well to use a natural estrogen blocker as opposed to a T-booster. Something like Trans-Resveratrol from Polygonum Custpidatum has worked well for me in the past. Is a good anti-oxidant as well. A good all-in-one T booster similar to the one mentioned is Muscle Pharm Battle Fuel. Also for mood and relaxation, try a 5-htp supplement, the Animal Pak is a great vitamin stack which has a serotonin boosting 5-HTP supplement in it (causes vivid and realistic dreaming as well as mood boost, I've experienced both)

Deer powder lol crazy russians. Honestly I would find it hard to purchase anything from russia and ingest it. This seemed like bs, just wanted more educated opinion, thanks. I really cant gain too much weight, this hardware in my leg designed for my current weight. I told the surgeon to add couple extra screws/plates while in surgery lol. That was weird waking up with my leg nailed to a table. Theres your answer to subs and anystesia, yes you might wake up too early. My chance to roid up came and went in high school. Half my friends did and I one that didnt. Can't help but wonder how soo many athletes are coming back from horrible injuries soo fast. A little help from mexico perhaps lol. I'd almost wager.

Forgot about this thread!

Going for an MRI for my Thoracic Outlet Syndrome soon, hopefully going to get an answer and a fix after that.

Going to switch from Oxycodone 5mg for breakthrough pain to Morphine IR 15mg as a supplement to my Morphine ER 30mg. I'm a little worried since I have somewhat of a tolerance to the ER morphine, that the IR morphine won't work at all.

I guess we'll see though.
