I was prescribed cesamet for many years but have of late been trying an edible Butter which I'm finding great as with attempting smoking it was much, much too strong and my lungs hurt for a week, a quarter teaspoon before bed is enough as I'm using it as a sleep aid not a pain reliever. I find it helps with sleep but not with the pain and when I did smoke it greatly increased my pain.
As with any day we must take the good with the bad, for if there was no bad we would not know the good ones.
moe

Nice. OT: not bad today.

Glad to hear it love , keep it that way :);)

Codeine is addictive as fuck like ANY opiate no matter what anybody sais, I dnt know if ur in the UK but the only reason americans call Codeine weak and shit is because they basically get prescribed smack Oxycontin, Fentanyl, of course it's gna seem weak to them, If you lived in they lived in the UK on the NHS and had to deal with our GPs , they would know all about it !

With health Insurance or Credit Card if you the money you can buy the strongest shit, on the NHS they have a budget and GPs are instrusted to prescribe the cheapest items even if it's not the appropriate treatment and that is a FACT, anybody who disagrees don't know hat they're talking about, we get fucked about something awfull, they put us on stupid waiting lists for years, part of that is a tactic that we will just forget about it , it's all about ££££££££££££

Yea I'm from UK n thanks for reply x
OXYCONTIN EXPRESS Documentary, perfect example.

That shit still happens regardless of the bullshit cover ups, that's when I decided fuck it , I know what I need , I know where to buy it, got some cash and done it. What's the difference ? There is not one as long as you know what your doing plus youl get your meds a lot cheaper with no Drug Dealer Dr in the middle,

Im away on a rant here lol, off to chill, Peace Evey <3 , Fuck the system :)

Yea I'm in the UK n thanks for your reply n I agree with every word you said
Take care, Evey xxx

Couldn't agree more! Oxy is basically legal heroin (used to lol at the prospect but now I grimly agree), but yet here codeine is considered a swear word and oxy will be prescribed easier than str8 codeine or DHC. Most Drs (EVEN FKIN ONCOLOGISTS) here have such a backward antiquated view of pain management it's a fkin joke, a sick joke.

I don't think I've ever posted here before... I live in the US, have six herniated discs basically sitting on my sciatic nerve, causing very bad back and leg pain. I just got out of a psych hospital yesterday and am trying to make an appt. with the pain clinic for sometime in the next couple of weeks. Usually they prescribe 40 mg of dilaudid a day (16,8,16), but I'm not sure what they are going to do this time. In a few hours I'm meeting with my psychiatrist (I'm bipolar, type 1) and I'm hoping she will give me a script for oxy or something, to cover until I get to the pain clinic. While I was in the hospital, all they would give me for pain was tylenol and subutex (neither of which was effective). I have a long history of IV drug use (mostly heroin, tho the clinic doesn't know about that) and, obviously, that makes it fairly difficult to convince anyone to give me an opioid scrip (with the exception of the clinic).
Nice to meet everyone...

If you are using Voltaren and it is effective you might want to try "Solaraze"; same active ingredient but 3% rather than 1%. It's very expensive but there is a coupon you must get from MD which gives you only a $5 co-pay (a months supply is about $900- big pharma patent rip-off). Also, if you mix either of these gels with DMSO, available at health food stores- mix about 80/20 DMSO- it will absorb much more easily and be more effective. Promise!

If I remember correctly Purdue Pharmaceuticals in the states were being sued for overstating the efficacy and understating the addictive qualities of oxycodone. Doctors tend to believe what drug reps tell them. I was involved in the development stages of cox-2 inhibitors years ago for a large drug company and billions were ploughed into that class of drug. It was going to be the next big thing for arthritis treatment but is adverse effects on the cardiovascular and circulatory system were understated leading to unnecessary deaths and the drug being withdrawn. My point is that the world of medicine and pharmaceuticals is seldom straightforward and the ones who suffer are inevitably the sick patents

Any advice? Struggling w/ physical/mental dissabilities

Yo whats up im new to this websites forums ,making this my first post and my apologies if I posted incorrectly. Im looking for advice on how to manage my health properly with and w/o meds. Im 20years old ,5'10 and weigh 165lb. I developed scoliosis about 5 years ago in my upper and lower back with a 15° curve, a chest cavity over my sternum (pidgeon chest) , all my ribs are divergent, my right side of pelvis is elevated due to breaking a leg, I have severe anxiety/ptsd as well as ADD which got increasingly worse from use of ecstasy back in 2011' and heavy meth use from early 2012 to mid 2013(smoking mainly, snorting, and a short period of IVing).

Why I was developed like this idk forsure, but im guessing it was my mothers heroin addiction from slamming for ten years and or my fathers coke use which hes been using for about 30years now,but it wasnt a heavy drug problem or anything ,just an occasional thing. Ive been on numerous medications prescribed (benzos, light opiates,subs,adderal/concerta,MR's,zoloft,trams,all kinds of other little bullshit),ended up doin everything from weed to meth to black.Pretty much everything except crack and psychadelics.

So my issue is what the fuck do I do to get my life back , im a very talented devoted artist/lyricist but i lost myself caught up in the street life ,drama and drugs because of the mental and physical pain is overwhelming. I need to know what meds/exercise I should be utilizing and how to properly explain to my doctors about my various dissabilities.I honeslty have better motor skills, intelligent thoughts and ideas/choices when ive taken the precise medication to ease my body pain and calm my anxiety/depression. If anyone can relate to all this ridiculous amount of shit to overcome ,PLEASE provide me some input id honestly appreciate it!

Usually threads end at post 1000 for the servers decreased load and burdens on the hardware that run the site so I'll probably end up merging posts after #1000 into the new Pain Management Megathread, Version 5, or maybe I'll just leave a redirect with this one as is and begin a new thread, either way, this concludes Version 4 of the Pain Management Megathread.
