ForEverAfter
Ex-Bluelighter
There's a lot of really talented poets that linger around this little sub-forum of ours. Originally I was going to set up a short story competition, but - since the poetry contributions massively outweigh the prose - it makes more sense to create a poetry comp. I know people are busy with non-bluelight activities, so I'm going to make it a quarterly competition. I figure, that way, everyone will have enough time to get their submissions in on time. Here are the rules:
1. A maximum of 3 entries per person.
2. A minimum of 10 lines per poem.
3. You cannot use the letter 'e'.
4. Closing date for submissions is July 31st.
That's it!
The winners will be judged, anonymously, via poll. Everybody is allowed to vote once, only. And, please resist the temptation to vote for yourself.
The first prize winner will be granted the custom title of "Bluelight Poet Laureate" for 3 months.
And, the second prize will receive a nude photo of the moderator of their choosing.
Not really. There is no second prize.
If you'd like to contribute a poem in a different language: the alphabet of said language must include the letter 'e'; and you must include an English translation of the poem. (Note: the translation may include the letter 'e'; it is only the original poem that cannot.)
Send submissions, via PM, to me (ForEverAfter) and my fellow Words mod (New ). Do not post them in this thread.
Bribes, in the form of sexual favors, will be considered on a case-to-case basis.

it wasn't intended as a contribution to the contest, just my own thoughts on contests and life in general most of the time. Maybe I'll actually PM you a real poem as the deadline draws near. and hahaha hey wait...is the ART prior to id a reference to the possible fact you can see our edits and I had "the" sitting there until I did a search through for the letter "e"? Or just to me throwing this in here and not PMing.
