you got it wrong, the worst day to be a Buckeye was the National Championship game last year. last Saturday was one of the best days to be a Buckeye! Wisconsin somehow has beaten the Bucks the last three games at Ohio Stadium. for about three quarters it did look like they were going to pull it off again. however, Beanie Wells stepped up and got three touchdowns in the second half to pull us away from Wisco. and James Lauranitis stepped up again! he had something like 16 tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery.
since no offensive player truly deserves the Heisman this year, is it time for a defensive player to maybe step up to the plate like the year Woodson won it? I look at the Heisman watch list this year and I laugh. all those players are lucky to be considered above mediocre. Lauranitis deserves the Heisman, he is an animal.
I would love to see OSU play LSU for the NC. LSU is my second favorite college football team and all Buckeyes respect them. what would have happened if the Bucks played Boston College in New Orleans and thumped them? that game would not have been fun at all. I thought LSU was the best team in the nation the first couple weeks of football, but now I am not so sold on their QB play. their defense looks tough, however.
OSU VS LSU would be a very highly ranked bowl game. like I said the only way the Buckeyes can prove how weak the SEC truly is this year is if they come out and beat the Tigers, but that is a difficult task to say the least.
I don't see the Buckeyes losing another bowl game this year. Tressel has only lost two in his career, and his team will not be looking to rest on their laurels just because they got into the NC for a second time in a row.
wow, National Championship for the second year in a row. I remember when OSU played Miami for the national title my parents told me that this was a once in a lifetime thing and that I should be very excited. well, look at us now, the Buckeyes are the next great dynasty in college football. and the major factor there is not our players, who cycle in every two years to leave for the NFL (look at Gonzalez tearing it up for the Colts, who really could be tearing it up even more for the Buckeyes this year). it is our coaching staff. we have the best Damn Band in the Land and the Best Damn Coaches in the Land as well.
