nice post reedly :) buckeye fans have never been accused of being reasonable well-rounded fans of college football. hell, most are so myopic that they're unable to see the importance of big ten teams doing well outside of conference play.

Yeah, I've sensed that, and it pisses me off more than it disappoints me, but that's my problem, not theirs (they seem blissfully unaware ;) ). But it goes in stride with the OSU-TX matchups recently. Win, and the fans think their conference is better than the Big12...lost, and they think TX is the Nat'l Champ after the first game. Very distorted view of anything outside their local area code. God forbid someone point out that it is just 1 team, from 1 other conference :\

And on the humble pie, I'll take another slice of the SEC flavor...don't think I've gotten served our due share as yet :o

just one more week closer to michigan beating you guys

you all can only hope! not gonna happen though. buckeyes are simply the best team in cf right now, there's no denying it really.

I don't know, Michigan scares me. as Buckeye fans you all should remember the times they were going into "the game" undefeated only to have us Buckeyes destroy their National Championship dreams. they could easily win, specially at the Big House.

however, OSU can not over-look Illinois! that Wisconsin game scared me for three quarters. they had a great defensive scheme that shut down our QB by putting pressure on him. oh well, our offensive leader Beanie Wells stepped up to the plate and earned almost 200 yards on a solid Badger defense that plays traditional Big 10 style defense.

I attended the FSU/BC game last night. the Noles are actually my third favorite team so it was nice to see them pull through, even though I was rooting for BC because if they went to the NC against OSU I would have got tickets. hopefully with two dismal performances in a row Matt Ryan can be counted off the Heisman watch list. thinking about Heisman candidates... who is there to vote for now?

since BC lost looks like OSU will have to play an LSU or Oklahoma in the National Championship. I was looking at BC for an easy win, but it looks like we are going to have to play a fellow power-house college football school. oh well, beating LSU or Oklahoma (as much as I want Oregon in it they always seem to get screwed in the BCS) may be the only way to redeem ourselves from last season's debacle.

you got it wrong, the worst day to be a Buckeye was the National Championship game last year. last Saturday was one of the best days to be a Buckeye! Wisconsin somehow has beaten the Bucks the last three games at Ohio Stadium. for about three quarters it did look like they were going to pull it off again. however, Beanie Wells stepped up and got three touchdowns in the second half to pull us away from Wisco. and James Lauranitis stepped up again! he had something like 16 tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery.

since no offensive player truly deserves the Heisman this year, is it time for a defensive player to maybe step up to the plate like the year Woodson won it? I look at the Heisman watch list this year and I laugh. all those players are lucky to be considered above mediocre. Lauranitis deserves the Heisman, he is an animal.

I would love to see OSU play LSU for the NC. LSU is my second favorite college football team and all Buckeyes respect them. what would have happened if the Bucks played Boston College in New Orleans and thumped them? that game would not have been fun at all. I thought LSU was the best team in the nation the first couple weeks of football, but now I am not so sold on their QB play. their defense looks tough, however.

OSU VS LSU would be a very highly ranked bowl game. like I said the only way the Buckeyes can prove how weak the SEC truly is this year is if they come out and beat the Tigers, but that is a difficult task to say the least.

I don't see the Buckeyes losing another bowl game this year. Tressel has only lost two in his career, and his team will not be looking to rest on their laurels just because they got into the NC for a second time in a row.

wow, National Championship for the second year in a row. I remember when OSU played Miami for the national title my parents told me that this was a once in a lifetime thing and that I should be very excited. well, look at us now, the Buckeyes are the next great dynasty in college football. and the major factor there is not our players, who cycle in every two years to leave for the NFL (look at Gonzalez tearing it up for the Colts, who really could be tearing it up even more for the Buckeyes this year). it is our coaching staff. we have the best Damn Band in the Land and the Best Damn Coaches in the Land as well.

LSU's defense is not that great. look at how many points their opponents put up the last four games on them. they rely a lot on that offense.

i have a pretty big feeling kansas is gonna get screwed by the bcs, even if they do manage to beat oklahoma for the big 12 championship.

LSU played like absolute shit and STILL came away w/ the Win....That game was fucking insane....Some title teams have some bad games but in the end its most of the time all about the W....

The LSU D hasnt looked as strong as it had in the first few weeks but seriously.....The score is a bit misleading....Bama was helped out by 3 INT;s and a fumble i nbelieve.....not to mention they were held in check pretty mcuh all day w/ the exception of a few big plays and a return on special teams....

LSU needs to come away w/ 3 convicning wins (including the SEC champ) to keep OU, Oregon and maybe even Kansas from stealing our spot at #2......Although....there's not another team in the country w/ a better resume than LSU....We've played 4 ranked teams in a row....and came away w/ 3 W's.....not to mention we blew the doors off of a still ranked Va Tech
