the official NCAA football thread

the candidates for Heisman are not looking good this year. college football as a whole is not looking near of the talent level it has shown in the recent past.

I couldn't agree more.

I'm sick of everyone saying "_________ is overrated"

Not everyone can be overrated.

Going into last week, I would have bet on USC vs. LSU in the MNC. Welllll, USC bowed out, and LSU looked less than dominating. Updated predictions would be Cal vs. OSU. Given how the season is going, USC will dominate Cal and Michigan will destroy OSU. :) My feel good story of the year has been USF. Sure, we've had "BCS busters" in the past, but not with a team that has been recruiting against the greatest powerhouse state of the past two decades.(sorry cal. and tex. but florida has the cake there). It's going to be an interesting season, as far as heisman goes... I have NO clue.

I agree w/ the heisman candidates as a whole are not panning out..But that's cuz the Heisman goes to the pretty boy on the NC team rather than the best player....And now the Heisman watch is finally looking at the best player

The pretty boy candidate atm: Matt Ryan

Best player candidate: Mike Hart/Darren McFadden

As to the second part of your comment....i think the reason so many top teams are falling is b/c there is greater parity this year than ever....

Its the same thing when one says that the reason Miss St upset Auburn is b/c the SEC is so strong but when Stanford upset USC it shows the PAC-10 is weak or down.....

When it comes to CFB as a whole this year....I believe that the glass is half full rather than half empty

Saban's overrated....Other than the '03 MNC year....he never had a 10+ win season at LSU.....

So, no....no win for Bama this year or next for the foreseeable future....

If anything, Arkanasas or most likely Auburn ambushes us this year

LSU hahahahahaha!!!
CAL ahahahahahah!!!

OSU #1 again. Same stuff, different year. It gets old being this good. ;)

Bow down, NCAAF.

That good? Since when does playing nobody equal good?

Good enough to be #1 in the coaches poll, and good enough to be #1 in the AP poll apparently.

I guess wins AT Washington, AT Minnesota, and AT Purdue are "not" good enough. Sorry.
