damn! Sorry guys! I don't know what I was thinking when I said USC lost Leinhart. I don't know why I even thought that. But I will stand by what I said: USC will lose to ASU.
Don't worry WILD, just a week from tomorrow! I've already got off from my job on Saturdays all this fall. God I love it! Starting off with college gameday at 10:00, then watching football from noon to 2:00am, usually finishing with some shitty WAC game.
 
are we going to pretend that OSU has a quarterback? will we wait till mid season again to acknowledge that their offense still lacks the neccessary components for consistant production. sacralige as it may be, i like UM to win the big10
 
umm, according to Steele's football preview mag, which has been the most accurate the last 7 yrs, Troy Smith, Ohio State's starting QB, is a dark horse HEISMAN candidate!!!! Did you not see what he did to Michigan's shitty D, whom by the way lost their decent CB's this year, last year? He ran up,around, and down their throats last year!! He also threw some damn good looking passes.
Troy Smith, could be compared to Michael Vick; he's fast, has a big gun of an arm, and has the backing of everyone on his team. He's a team player. Plus, with a great pocket passing QB Justin Zwick as their backup, they have one of the best 1-2 QB units in the country.
Don't worry Cravn, OSU's QB situation will be great this year.

And yes, they will open up the playbook offensively this year. Tressel knows that his strength on O will be the passing game. With Ginn having the potential to score a TD every time he touches the ball, that will make Santonio Holmes just that much more dangerous.
 
i think zwick has loads of ability as a passer but i dont see him developing into the talent he was heralded to be. i saw him make very bad decisions last year with few signs of developing habits exhibited by big time quarterbacks. troy smith is an amazing athlete but unless tressel opens it up on offense his gifts may end up going for not.

oh, and please acknowledge that the term "dark horse" was in incredibly poor taste;)
 
Why was it in "poor taste"? That's the exact term the magazine uses!!!!! If you're gonna say something about racism, I will laugh at you!!!
And yes, I agree, Zwick was definitely a big disappointment last year, but he's still above average. I think what we saw against Michigan last year is a taste of what to expect. Tressel will open up the playbook, he didn't last year because he didn't really know what he had to work with. With virtually everyone back on offense, he'll have more time to expand the possibilities.

And don't use a "winking smiley", those are irritating!

Honestly, if there is anywhere on there team that is a question mark, it's gonna be the Kicker.
Most people don't make a big deal about Kicking, but let's face it, if it wasn't for Nugent, we could've lost to Marshall last year. I know Huston can kick, but can he kick when it counts?

OSU hasn't had a decent running back in a few years, at least since Clarett. Hall and Ross were pretty much useless, so they have to rely on the receivers/QBs and defense to put points on the board. Luckily, Smith can run and gun much like Michael Vick, while Zwick is more of an average, vanilla quarterback.

I'm telling you guys, look for Pittman to start racking up yards out of the backfield soon. Fast and agile, he makes great lateral moves to find the open holes. All this talk reminds me, I need to go bust my #12 Michael Jenkins jersey out of the closet and get it ready. %)
 
Pittman and Haw are going to be a nice balance. There both young and healthy, and are both capable of busting huge runs, I'd like to see them both get equal playing time. I also am excited about Maurice Wells, I wouldn't be suprised to see him turn into the dominant back late in the season, if Pittman or Haw gets injured.

Definately not. OU should rock. The only team they might lose to in the big XII is the Longhorns, unless they are unlucky. The offense is good, and the defense is simply outstanding.

OU should rock eh? talk to the horny toads about that. I don't know what the bigger shocker was today, seeing OU lose, or seeing Auburn drop an easy win to Georgia Tech.

In other news: Michigan, Wisconson, Iowa, and Ohio State all look good right now, but I'd love to see some games that wern't total cupcakes.

Georgia thumped Boisie state, quickly reminding the rest of the planet that it doesn't matter how many points you score in a season, or what kind of record you have this decade, you need to play in a real conference, against real opponents, before you can justify your rank to people from the SEC.

Speaking of cupcakes, looks like USC continues its dominance of fake teams. I'm not saying they're not great, even the best team this year or last year, but still, stop playing East Nevada Polytechnic for the Blind. =D
 
So UCONN v. Buffalo was a total blowout. I wish I could remember more of it, too much tailgating.

Ah, glad to see that you have no idea what you are talking about. First of all, the Big Ten is by the toughest conference, so there is no such thing as a cupcake. Secondly, have you seen the nonconference games? The Big Ten plays the MAC, which is by far the most underrated conference in college football. Secondly, you have Ohio State taking on Texas this weekend, along with Michigan taking on Notre Dame.

Cupcakes? ... I think not.
 
the cupcakes were in reference to the first week, dum dum.

Plus, there's very little chance somebody whos name is rollin to oakenfold could ever be right about anything other than where to find the bad music at a best buy. =D
 
I can't believe how many OSU fans there are here. U of M's offense is UNSTOPPABLE. Our passing crew is just sick, and our running crew fights for every yard. The only problem will be our defense. Our D-line is weak, as is evidenced by N. ILlinois getting 400 yards of offense. HOwever, we have a lot of time to gel before our first real challenge at Wisconsin.

So this is my offer to all you crazy OSU fans. You want somewhere to party for the OSU game, and you aren't gonna bring heroin or weapons, my doors are open. Let me know.

hey atlas...when will Georgia take on a tough non-conference opponent on the road? Never? :D Will they go to the blue field in a traditional home and home matchup?

If all goes according to plan, it looks like the Battle for the Victory Bell will return to being one of the most important battles of the college football season. UCLA's schedule is very favorable leading up to a trip to the Coliseum. And if he stays healthy, Maurice Drew should be able to catapult himself in to a heisman discussion.

So Notre Dame this weekend is just a speed bump??

Go in with that attitude and you'll get beat... Michigan should win, but ND is no cupcake..

Its arguable who has the toughest conference.. In the SEC, there are divisions meaning Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida will play each other EVERY year.. Throw LSU, Auburn, and Alabama in and youve got some tough games..

Who is the MAC?? sure they have some tough teams but still nothing special...
