The Official Flatmate wanted/needed thread

Albeit I dislike using the word "flat" as I'm looking for a home, not a ... rat infested heap :\

Thanks - have tried Domain and Realestate.com.au but we want to find a place to share with people ... to both reduce costs and also get to know some people :)

I'm trying to find a place to live at the moment by myself. I'm looking for a 1-2 bedroom flat in N/NE adelaide and have applied for about 5 places and been knocked back each time. So i've been thinking about finding a sharehouse on flatmates.com.au or something like that.

Has anyone ever moved in with strangers? How hard was it to find people with similiar usage habits? The only drugs I do are pills and psychdelics and the majority of the time I do these at parties, doofs or out camping. So i'd prefer to live with people who have similiar habits.

I may be looking for a flatmate very soon, western suburbs of sydney (Now don't laugh). So i wanna see if they're any takers/anyone interested.

Fairly new 2 storey duplex, new carpets and paint, 3 bedroom place, ensuite/bathroom upstairs toilet downstairs, single garage and i'm willing to throw any excuse for a party :)

Email me if you're interested/price

i'll be looking for a place to live pretty soon. and i know this is specific, but i thought i'd give it a crack

i'm looking to move out early november (around the 8th) from student accom. into a place around the kardinya area (perth) but not only me, a mate of mine as well. so that would be 2 rooms in the kardinya area. we could just get our own flat but we would be moving out again in january (more complications!) so we can't be bothered pissing around with bonds and leases... just a place to live for 3 months while we wait for a mates lease to be up so we can all move in together...

any takers? surrounding suburbs of course welcome!

pm if you can help!

Currently looking around inner Melbourne (roughly North Melb, Cartlon, Richmond area). Am able to move anytime between now and 3rd December. Max $150/week...but am generally looking cheaper.

Me tidy, friendly and reliable. Drugs are a recreation to me, uni is my life.

Flatmate wanted - Sydney City.

Hi All,

backyard.jpg

Above is a Picture from my Bedroom window of the downstairs Courtyard. Great for summer BBQs!

My housemate is moving out in March/April and I'm looking for someone to move in. Sydney City Location, Close to transport! (Trains/Buses)

You will be living in a two-storey, brand new, apartment, 5 minutes from the City. It's a very funky, new-age, stylish modern living arrangement. Security building, 2 bathrooms, balcony, etc. we are on the 4th level and you will have a car parking space if required!

It's two storey - Your bedroom will be downstairs. It has an open modern living layout, very spacious with a nice big balcony to sit on and consume numerous ales! The kitchen is large with all new appliances, including Gas Stove, Oven & Dishwasher. Glass benches and funky black carpet throughout.

Dryer is also included and I'm buying a washing machine soon! We are close to Laundro-Mats.

Your bedroom has one full side of walk in wardrobes which are fully mirrored. (They do become very kinky when your having someone over for a little fun!) The room is a nice size with open-windows.

You will have access to ADSL2 (24mbit) Wireless Internet Connection for $25.00 / month (this is shared) and are welcome to go halves in Foxtel, etc with me if you desire.

Bills are pretty low here. Obviously Gas/Elec every 3 months, Phone is cheap, Internet, etc!

We are close to Green Square Train Station or Public Buses directly out the front.

I'm looking for anyone interested, be it male or female. You must be in stable employment, be clean, caring, and have a good, friendly, personality. I'm really easy going, fun and friendly myself, I work full time and I need someone who can look after themselves and keep the commitments required to rent, bills, etc. PLEASE! Don't bother applying if you can't be commited to the expenses required to live here.

Rent varys. In a 4 week month, rent is $760.00. 5 week month, $820.00.
Bond will also be required. You will also need to sign the lease agreement once you are moved in. We no longer have a lease contract, so we can move out whenever we want. You are not locked in to a contract!

A car space is available at no additional cost, located downstairs in our security car park space.

Again, I'm pretty easy going, down to earth, fun kind of guy. I'm pretty quiet but bubbley and enjoy spending time with my housemates. If your easy going, fun, down to earth, and just up front, then man! move on in :)

You can move in March or April, but if you chose March, I need to know basically now.

Interested? Questions ? - Email or MSN / [email protected]

Hope to hear from anyone or someone! soonish.

Josh.

Hey Guys!

As of the beginning of feb i will officially be looking for a place to stay in Sydney, preferably in the areas of Chippendale, Surry Hills, Newtown, Marrickville, or anywhere close to these areas.

What i need is somehwere reasonably well connected by public transport (as i don't have a car).

I would also prefer to have a place with internet, and i will be willing to share to costs for that of course.

I am hoping to pay between $100-150 per week in rent, and of course i would expect to split all other bills equally between the housemates, unless there is another system that works better for those concerned.

I have all the bedroom furniture i require, and i have a few other bits and pieces, but not much - mainly kitchen stuff...

I'm clean and pretty easy going. I'm looking to live with someone social, and easy going as well.

I'm also a non-smoker. :)

If you know of anyone who is looking for a flatmate like me, please PM me here and i will send you my email and other details.

Thanks guys! :)

Hey guys, I've decided as nice as it's been living alone, it's time I moved onto something new, so I will be looking for share accomodation around the start of May. I thought I'd start looking now, in case there is anyone else who is going to be looking for somewhere around that time and wants to start up a new household. Alternatively, if anyone has a room in an established house that will be availble around that time I'm be interested to know.

I'm 26, female, employed full time, non smoker. I know I have a reputation as a bit (ok, more than a bit!!) of a trashbag, but I am a pretty chilled out person at home. I work in North Melbourne so I would be looking for somewhere around the northern suburbs, but would be willing to travel a bit further for the right household. I'm looking to live with anything from one to 4 other people, so if anyone has any ideas, let me know.

i'm looking to move to melbourne within the next month but i need somewhere to live first.

i'd like to live closeish to the city and close to public transport and a bottle shop.

if anyone is looking for a flatmate or has a spare park bench/large cardboard box send me a pm let me know and i'll repay your kindness with beer (or other alcoholic beverages of your choosing) :)

hey everyone. we have a bedroom spare in our 5 bedroom house. Its 4 floors, so its pretty roomy. we all do our own thing but usually end up drinking together a lot as well.

The room is $130 a week and includes all bills, including telephone and is in Redfern diorectly across the road from the station. Its a cool area. Dont believe the hype ;)

ROOM NEEDED

Hey all! I'm looking to move from Geelong to Melb as I am taking up work in Melboure. I'm 18yo gay male hairdresser. I'm quiet, tidy and career focused, but still like to have fun and party.
Location isn't really an issue, but preferably in Zone 1 =D
if anyone has anything, buzz me! ;)
