the official 2010 NFL thread!

9. Philadelphia Eagles - can they win without McNabb?

yes we can..but I would rather have him under center. Vick is not ready to handle a full game yet, Kolb even though performed better than most thought in week 2 and 3 still is not as good as McNabb, and Garcia who I have total confidence in, will probably not play at unless everyone is hurt.

Thank god the Eagles have a bye week in week 4. We need to get McNabb and Westbrook back, as well as let DeSean Jackson and a few other player with minor injuries rest up. LeSean McCoy played amazing on Sunday vs. Kansas City, but then again, we only played the Chiefs.

I still think the Eagles have a good chance to make it to the playoffs, we just need to stay healthy, and the defense just needs to step up in every game. Since we lost B-Dawk, someone else needs to step up and be the leader of the defense.

hopefully the weather puts a stop from Drew Brees putting up Drew Brees like numbers. the Bufallo D is vastly improved, too. circle the wagons!

It did....except the Defense and ST FINALLY made up for a rare Brees off day....My Saints finally look like a legitimate SB contender :):)

My week 3 top 10

1. New York Giants
2. Baltimore Ravens
3. Minnesota Vikings
4. New Orleans Saints
5. New York Jets
6. New England Patriots
7. Green Bay Packers
8. Indianapolis Colts
9. San Francisco 49ers
10. Philadelphia Eagles

Steelers are on upset alert. however, I think that in all normalcy Pittsburgh should have won the game in Chicago (Jeff Reed rarely misses field goals, and I have been cursing his name all week) - but that is just how the cookie crumbles. I have been giving Cincinnati props all year long - their defense looks good and their offense better than average. the Bengals could win, I just surely hope that they don't. they just beat a very well rounded, good football team in the Packers.

You cursed the black and gold! :p

My week 3:

1. Ravens
2. NY Giants
3. Saints
4. Eagles
5. Colts
6. Vikings
7. Patsies
8. NY Jets (my filler pick of the week because they are 3-0)
9. Bears
10. Steelers*

*A bit of a homer pick but I am one to believe that the loss of just Polamalu can kill a D's tenacity (i.e. the Chargers losing Merriman last year). And its their D that has faltered in the last 2 games. *shrug*

meh, I don't think placing Pittsburgh as the 10th best team in the NFL is a homer pick. I don't know the last time the Steelers started off 1-2, but I know it's been a good while :( good thing about being a Pittsburgh Steelers fan is that we only need to make the playoffs. once the Black and Gold makes the playoffs, they seem to somehow reach the upper level of the playoffs.

There have been much scarier starts that the Steelers have rebounded from. Only wins count -- right -- but those last two games were squeakers. 9 times out of 10 Pittsburgh wins those. What's the problem, you ask??? Troy Polamalu is out. And maybe Jeff Reed was out too late before the Bears game, as he has been known to do. Things will be made right against the Chargers, axl. I would put money on it. %)

I have, so hopefully they finally pull one out. it's good to talk to you again about our mutual love, as I think I missed you most of that record-setting season last year. the defense isn't playing bad, even though successful last minute drives against the Steelers are disgracing as a long-time fan of the Steel Curtain.

the offense is what's worrying more, as the run game isn't there and receivers are dropping more passes than Braylon Edwards. at least I have faith in Big Ben, for obvious reasons.

as I said before, the Stillers really just need to make the playoffs. they usually seem to care of that biznass in the post-season.

I hate Brett. I hate Mark Roman even more for blowing the coverage. That is all.

yeah, but at least San Fran looks like an actual football team. an actual TOUGH football team. most of the credit should go to Frank Gore and Mike Singletary, from my perspective.
