Tommy Bowden out as Clemson coach after 9 1/2 seasons

This might not be a big deal to most...UGA and USC (S.Car) should both capitalize in the recruiting game...but

Growing up around loud ass Clemson fans since age 11, loud ass Clemson fans who think they're the shit and btw they beat your team almost every damn year...

and to find a gem like this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoifMZd5Ewg

FEELS GOOD

rofl at the video. As for recruiting, I'm sure spurrier is excited. As for the choice to ask for his resignation... I dono.

I mean... who wants to live in Clemson, anyway? I was born in Greenville, and that was bad enough.

your team gets beat every year by clemson? who do you support, duke?!

;)

South Carolina Gamecocks. We did win in '06, but I think that makes us 1-9 vs. Clemson in the last 10 years. A lot of people bring up how they play in the ACC all year, and we play teams that will fuck you up like UGA, UF, and LSU. There's really no excuse for losing to them that much, though.

SC has to play the LSU Tigers on Saturday. I think we will kick their ass with the best SEC defense and emerging RS Freshmen QB Stephen Garcia. This guy got arrested three times and missed tons of practice, but battled his way back to the starting QB position last week against Kentucky, going 10/14 for 169 yards and a TD, and broke for a 25 yard rush.. We might be seeing him in the NFL in a few years - his arm is that strong. I think the game comes on ESPN at 8:00 so you guys should check it out.

Last year, LSU established their game with a trick field goal play right before halftime. An annoying-assed smirk was left on Les Miles' face and later, Gamecocks LB Jasper Brinkley went out for the season with a torn ACL (though he played the whole game). This year, Brinkley and the Gamecocks are back for revenge with new defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson and new special teams coach Ryan Rychleski. We all know the head coach of course, Steve Spurrier. This one should be a thriller.

I'm pretty sure i'm the only Minnesota fan around here, and with 6 wins already(wow) and a weak ass Big Ten, and the fact they don't have to play PSU or Michigan State, the dream of a January bowl game is a reality. Go Gophers:)

Everyone has it backwards....After that Fake FG it was SPURRIER who was laughing...Of course Miles was smiling and laughing...It was a great call

Anyways, should be a good game. LSU is most def vulnerable but we're gonna come out very hungry after that embarrassment against Florida. We're not the defending champs for nothing....

For god's sake will some other conference please take Michigan Wolverines off the Big10's hands?!?! They are an embarassment!!! MAAC? Sunbelt? Big East? Any one of you shit bag conferences want another school?

Why would we do that?
Don't you (Big10) need all the easy wins you can get to make yourself look better than you really are?

I realize the top 10-ish is heavy with Big12 teams, and I'm still confident they'll knock eachother down a bit, but it does feel like they will have 2 teams in the BCS bowls. I could see PSU losing to OSU in the Big10+1, and that conference getting a second bid, perhaps....I'd hate it, but it's possible.

I'm also counting on SOS to pull USC down a bit, even if they win out whilst a 1-loss SEC team climbing with SOS. But looking at how things sit right now, I'd say Big12 plus one non-BCS team grab the open spots :\

Yes... sleepin' ;)

Its just terribly disappointing to see my team continue to muddle through a lull in its schedule, and be stuck in the polls. LSU looks strong again, and Florida looks pretty much unbeatable. Nobody but Bama is getting any respect from the writers. Meanwhile, OSU (the cowboys) and Texas Tech are mentioned in the same breath as Texas for no damned reason. When Texas absolutely jocks Mizzou, its a shootout of the titans, but when Bama brutalizes UGA, its time to stop talking about the dawgs, and move west. WTFever, fellas 8(. We're so bruised up on the O-line this season, winning out doesn't look possible.

Texas vs. Mizzou

I don't think anybody wants to face Texas in Miami this year. They really do look sharp, and I expect them to run the Table this year. Missouri was terribly overrated, just like last year, though, so its not as big of a statement game as all the talking heads would have us believe. I love how they all use "shootout" as a euphemism for "two teams with fuckall for a defense". Alabama with a healthy Cody would dominate the Horns. The trojans would be a worthy adversary, but I dread having to watch another USC/UT NC.

UGA vs Vandy

God, how I wish they were unbeaten before they showed up in Athens. This game went completely according to plan, even if the Dawgs didn't hang 28 or 35 on them, they were close, and it wasn't as close a game as the sports media seem to believe it was. I expect as considerably tougher Dawgs squad next week in Baton Rouge. Likewise, I expect to see some more quality wins from Vandy, who is definitely bowl bound this year.

USC vs WSU

I know that Carroll doesn't go out of his way to run up the score, but he should really be trying harder. It just makes the trojans look untested, and feel unbeatable. That's what causes the humiliating losses like against Oregon State. What a curse-- to play in a conference so bad that being a one loss team is enough to keep them out of the NC. Maybe they should ease up on their recruiting, and kick some players down to UCLA.

I'm very pumped for the LSU / UGA and OSU / PSU games next week. :D
