Lads, why not setup a vote with a list of the different styles of music we all would prefer listening to and priority can then be given to the obvious preferences and respective dj's throughout the night.

If hard house/trance wins then we'll just fucking rig the thing ;)
 
I'm sure there will be enough time for everyone to play what they like.

I wouldn't want more than 45mins if I was to do a set (would be too scary)
 
Give everyone a fucking go, seriously BROADEN YOUR TASTES MOTHERFUCKERS! blah I like nearly all music if the person playing it enjoys it then I do, I wanna see some jungle, hard trance, funky house, breakbeat and chill out, if anyone wants I will play the most random set ever, look out for postman pat theme tune
:) I can also play bang bang bang infact if the decks are ok and by then I might be able to hire us all some technics and as long as I am used to them id love to play some bang bang bang shit too :) whatever theres enough talent here both dj'ing and producing to make this very good

If you have somewhere 9-6 or 10-6 or even later who cares then surely everyone can have a go, if you have decks and a fair few tunes whether you can mix or kinda mix or sometimes fuck up who cares, play :) theres enough for at least an hour each I would think and maybe a few 20-30 min live PA's it doesnt have to be too serious because oh no his mix is a little out of time, blah blah etc give people a chance because other places might not :)

i vote for mash to do an oldskool set

and someone needs to kidnap stanton warriors and bring them in ;) or at least have someone else do breaks/garage!

Yep a lot of the classics, including a 12 x 12" box set with 120 tracks right from the roots of house into acid house and basically all you can imagine :)

lol old skool would be cool as fuck too and I could do a stanton warriors style set with loads of big bassy breaks haha how about even though my mixing aint always perfect, I play a different set every hour for 9 hours? (note: im joking although that would be cool to do one day!)) I could play anything from chicago house, hard trance, hard house, breaks, jungle, disco/soul, cheesey pop from the 60's/70's/80's, old skool hardcore and even acid techno, actually I might just try and condense all that into an hour if im allowed one? might be able to manage more than an hour by then though, did do a 3.5 hour random set after a speed session about a month ago infront of a few people who said I shouldve gone well into the next morning shame they fed me too much speed to try and keep me going as I could barely stand up and then the paranoia kicked in!

but yea, i dont care about mixing quality. shit, i listen to piraterevival.co.uk all the freakin time, and half those geezahs cant mix for shit. but their track selection is yummy, and thats all it takes to keep me bouncin =D

I fucking hate funky house. I hate even more the fact that so many people assume that everyone likes it. It is shit and it is boring!!!
 
I'm with Mash.. you'll fucking get what you're given and you'll like it because it'll be your friends playing you whinning bastards;).

NO MORE discussions about what sort of music you like, because unless you're playing or helping to organise it you don't get a say.. so nyer:P ;). and NO MORE slagging funky house because no one's volunteered to play any, so until they do it's a waste of breath and space in this thread. If you have a problem with someone's music you'd better be good enough to replace their set.

Doomsday Boy - can't wait to hear more of your stuff, your CD was wicked!:)
