The new skin has ruined Bluelight... (say some)

The new skin really isn't great.

It looks like the sort of compromise that results from a majority vote.

But there's a few nifty features here and there that make up for the depressingly bubbly corporatism.
 
Something I miss a lot is the closeness of each post to each other. It was a lot more cohesive and interesting to see maybe 4 posts on the screen at once. now I see one, maybe two. The further away each post is, the more isolated I feel. The closer they are, the more I feel like I'm having a conversation instead of an email correspondence.

Fuck off Spade, there's plenty of decent stuff outside EADD if you're actually interested in drugs. The social forums are shit compared to EADD agreed, but plenty of useful information on PD, OD, ADD and probably BDD (can't really say as I don't spend time there). Some of the questions on EADD have been answered many many times in great detail, and in style, outside of EADD. LSR can be entertaining even though it's modded by 17 year old girls who can't accept a viewpoint in opposition to their own.

On the other hand, EADD is often first with drug information relevant to this geographic area so that's part of what makes it so good.
 
I used to venture out into the rest of BL, but don't leave EADD any more, except maybe to amuse meself reading a couple of Ecstacy Discussion threads, that place is still a goldmine of nonsense.

It's really horrible - but fuck it, I'm not paying for it.

It's fine, is what it is and works - only comment I'd like to make and I don't want this to appear judgemental or ungrateful to all those who work hard being the scenes.

But it's kinda "antiseptic" without personality... like it's been made to fit global tastes and in doing so has no taste, no style, soul, no sense of being or originality....

Think I mean it's bland as fuck and get the image tagging thing fucking fixed please!

Yep, that seems to have sorted the problem alright! I can't believe that i was that stupid! 8( Every time that i was logging in the answer to my problem was staring at me!!! That little box was just waiting to be ticked!!!

I also wish to +1 to the closeness of posts and dislike this skin quite a bit, but am very grateful to the admin/engineers who voluntarily do this stuff.
 
Mugz is clearly on a wee comedown the last few days the way he's responding. Moany cunt. :p

The new skin looks out dated and old fashioned, it's not very cutting edge or pleasing on the eye, looks dull. Re-post that in support forum for me Mugz. ;)

You're not getting it at all, we have these inane discussions because we use drugs, its all part of the entertainment.

Every now and again someone ( me more than once) takes it seriously and goes off on one which is also very entertaining....maybe not so much for the long suffering mods but they volunteered so must have some masochistic thing going on anyhow ;)
 
Ah… so that's where the 'control panel' went…in the 'settings' menu… obviously…!

Took me ages to get to my subscribed threads! :p
 
I don't mind the skin as much. Surely, I skin shouldn't be that important as it's the text that counts and what people are talking about.
I understand how the text is presented could affect it a little bit but surely not so much as to stop you from coming to the site!
