The new skin has ruined Bluelight... (say some)

Wow, people still use IE, lol.

Although I can't really say anything as IE seems to be the only browser that I can use to order dominos pizza from. The other two main browsers, firefox and chrome don't bring up the box to enter my card details in. :\ weird
 
haha, I only really treat myself on the first week after payday, and normally only get 1, but I got two in the first week this time. I shouldn't really be wasting the money on expensive pizza, but nevermind, what is done is done, and the pizza tasted fine :)

Well, one of us at least. I'm just stuck in a familiar rut really. I've used it since 1996, and it does what I want it to. I guess I hate change, but that's bollox really; I've just made the move to Windows 7 after all, but that gave me panic attacks for at least a week.
 
i totally agree . Not with just the skin change but the whole upgrade of the site also .

im not sure if im correct , as i am new to this new blight interface but i have noticed...
1) you cant see if a post u have made is the last one in a thread when viewing your own posts/replys . There used to be a small envelope which was either open, closed, on fire etc . I found that very helpful when wanting to know if someone had written something after u in a thread .
2) The new blight doesnt work on my ipod touch or windows phone , which is what ive used 85% of the time to make posts . So now i guess i dont use blight as much .(im on my pc right now :( ) .. lol i usually use blight when on the shitter lmao .

But yeah i know you guys are just trying to make things better . But i think it would be better if we went back to the old bluelight . Or at least still keep some of the features from the old bluelight .

Yeah, dial-up days and ISDN for £40 a month if you were lucky. Such joy.

Nothing wrong with XP. It was stable as hell. But I needed more RAM (much more RAM!), and the 3/4GB limit in XP 32bit forced me to change. I like Windows 7 though as it goes. It's rock steady for me, and I am a serious power user.

It's never going to go back to the old skin, this is more than just a skin change it is a software update, it wiill just take time to get better. This isn't really the place to moan about it though.

There is at least one thread in the Support forum for feedback on the Updates, I would recommend that you go and post your concerns there to get them addressed.

ISDN? are you joking, I was never that lucky when I started out. Played Quake on a 33k modem, you push the shoot button...

Seriously though, IE still has the biggest market share of users....just. But what's so much better with Firefox and Chrome? Why is it that much better? I did use Firefox about 2 years ago, but found so many plugins didn't work. I'm sure it's different now, but go on....sell their virtues....
 
I just reinstalled windows on my computer and tried IE, firefox and chrome out, and IE was by far the slowest of the three browsers. Firefox is good and fast if you don't have every add on under the sun. Chrome is alright, and very fast, but I prefer the look and feel of firefox over all the others.
 
Quake 3!? noob! =D

Action Quake 2 was the best fps around for years and years. Then CS came along. The guy that modeled the weapons for CS is the guy that modeled them for aq2. I've started playing css again the last couple of days now I have my proper internet connection back. Thank god for idiots that only use WEP security %)

Opera is best for me.

Speed. Clever caching. Very very good in-built website debugger. Almost weekly updates. And you can customize just about anything.
 
I still dont know how people still use IE, i even just updated my latest IE and its slow as fuck, everytime you click something it makes a noise then loads random bits of the page slowly, it seems to refresh the whole page aswell going from white to the new page instead of just changing the content like chrome.

I think chromes the best aswell its so small and discreet, you dont have some 2 inch at the top and inch at the bottom like you do with IE, dosent even advertise what browser it is which is good.
 
The main thing that twists my fucking melon is the search function no longer has the option to bring back posts containing the term you searched on. It just brings back the thread. So if you search for a phrase you just get a 15 page long fucking thread back that you have to look through every post. What a load of cock.
 
Fair call guys. I'll give both Chrome and Firefox a whirl then. I must admit, this new system I've just built is about as quick as it gets, and I was shocked how slow and clunky IE9 is still. Just so much HD activity on start up.

As for Q3 noob, I was there with the original Quake, then was floored when the GL 3D patch came out! I'd best keep quiet about Doom and Wolfenstien 3D eh? I played AQ, but I was shit to be honest. For some reason I found my place in Q3. Railer supreme me =D

I digress....a lot.
 
I don't even remember how the previous skin was. And no, it's not the drugs.
