The Music Social Gig v. I'll Trade You My Shirt For A Grilled Cheese

Lol don't get me wrong friends
As jaded as I seem some times I'm actually quite heady irl

I've had my fair share of late night phil and friends, moe, wsp, cheese, phish jam band epic times
Still while they are all good the most fun I ever had at a show was seeing The Flaming Lips a couple times, once where they had there own set and then covered Dark Side of the Moon

I actually got to touch and hold up Wayne in his big bubble he'd walk out onto the crowd with

Oh yeah, I totally forgot, the first year I seen them at Bonnaroo, they passed out lasers to everyone in the crowd and Wayne held up this huge plate thing, fucking just watch the vid it was an intense light show

Also, I bet chickenlicker didn't get a chance to see Les, Trey, and Stew's Oysterhead incarnate
Talk about crunchy

I saw oysterhead in LA and they filmed it for HBO on some serious silver liquid. You were probably like 10 years old. I'm the best.

Damn 01, I was only like 16, I didn't even know they played together that long ago
I just watched that show, I still think there Bonnaroo set was teh best

Did you ever get a chance to see Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains when they were touring?
Fuck they were an awesome improvisation band, nothing but pure jamming

It was a total accident how they even formed
It was either the first or second Bonnaroo and Primus and Praxis were both set to play and supposedly Lar didn't show up for the Primus set and Les needed someone to play lead, Bucket and Bernie stepped in and created it right then and there

No rehearsal type shit knee grow

Never seen them live, but heard their stuff. Pretty damn good but Tbh, I can respect claypool for what he does, but it's not really my bag of chips. I guess I haven't given him way too much of a chance though. Seen a couple of primus shows and a couple of oysterhead shows....but your sentiments about cheese are kind of how I feel about him. Same shit, different show. It's good, and dude is a talent for sure, but I can only get really into it on a bunch of acid.

You ever check out C2B3? Claypool, buckethead, brain, and worell. Some of my favorite work of his, but that's partly because I'm a huge buckethead fan.

^ Dude me too
He's definitely my favorite guitarist

The guy is a master of the sonic art of sound, he can and has played every genre out there
I have three BH t shirts and have seen him live 3 times, he comes to Cinci a lot because he's good frands with Bootsy

I never got to see him with a back up band though, unfortunately
He's played with so many different people and bands, but he tours pretty much just solo now

Who's this guitar-playing sonsa bitch? It's a question common asked.
On his head a bucket of chicken bones, on his face a plaster mask.
He's the bastard son of a preacher man, on the town he left a stain.
They made him live in a chicken house to try to and hide the shame.

He was born in a coop, raised in a cage. children fear him, critics rage.
He's half alive, he's half dead, folks just call him Buckethead.

We all know it's just Slash with a mask on.

And what about Yngwie? I feel like that's where Buckethead draws some inspiration from.

All those mediocre so called guitar virtuoso's got nothing on Buckethead
If anyone influenced BH it prolly would be Shawn Lane or Paul Gilbert

I also really think he can play bass just as well as Les

Buckethead - Bass solo

Buckethead - Revenge of the Double Man
The bluesy solo in the middle is just so fucking good, who else can slap a huge custom made les paul like that

I'm picking up Bill from the airport in about an hour and a half. Are we gonna have a 3 way Max?

I slipped in and out of Laika's back door like a fucking stealth spetsnaz love assassin
He treated me right, you missed out on some major transcendent energy, Maxguy

Also he smelt of sweet e-cig vapors and does a great rendition of the Bill Pullman Independence day speech

I will fuck the shit out of you, Bill. Come south of Orlando, I will wreck u m8.
