I think it'd be fair to simply discout DMT altogether: Since when does its visuals actually even remotely feel like visuals? If anything, they're full-blown hallucinations... And even then i'm hesitant to call them that. I just call it reality.

At least in my head, a visual is something you can clearly identify as being a visual effect of a substance: Hallucination is the kind you cannot. You will believe it.

For traditionally "visual" substances i'd give the crown to either the NBOMes(nasally) or DOC. I used to think 2C-E is very visual too, but 25I-NBOMe kinda skewed my opinion a bit... Even DOC doesn't feel that visual compared to it.
 
IMO Visuals = something you see whilst on the substance. So it could range from blasting in to hyperspace to just being overrun by fractals and kaleidoscopes, or maybe weird things like my visual MDMA experiences. Wether it's real or not is a whole 'nother discussion, but for consistency I think this works best.

NBOMes are really weird in that the visual aspect is quite varying. Sometimes my 25C experiences are completely non visual, while other times the world is just utterly beautiful. Some other times even it can be quite dissociative like, everything is out of proportion, things aren't straight anymore when I know they are and other things my friend has likened to higher doses (non hole) of ketamine. The last bit seems more common on 25i.

Agree though they can be wholly visual, especially 25C. The visuals really are a thing of their own, can't say it compares to any other thing I've tried. (Though I'm lacking in phen. experience, Mescaline seems similar)

My last(and so shall it remain) 25I-NBOMe trip essentially gave me so strong visuals that i couldn't see anything else. Wasn't really beautiful because there was NO point of reference: Just swirling random color as if i was inside the atmosphere of a gas giant. A lot of movement.

I also lost the ability to hear anything but the following phrase over and over again "the number you've dialed is not available, please hang up and try again." Needless to say... Freaked me out a bit... =D

So indeed... Quite dissociative.
 
If we are talking sides vs visual the winner is 4-ho-met, disregarding sides 2c-e. For me anyway.
 
The fun/power of NBOMes lie in the lower dose range, I've kept it there and haven't had a bad experience. Except maybe for one party where the vibes were just too weird for me to handle, so I went home.

And even there they can be extremely visual. On my first 25i-trip there was this part where the friends that were with me got on their bikes and just drove off, and the further they drove the further my vision stretched out. Fun times. On my second trip I got to a point similar to what you experienced. Really ugly, compressed bits of color spinning around. Yuck. 25C-NBOMe is pretty different to that. You might have read the TR "A Van Goghian Masterpiece" on Erowid. Well, it's kinda like Van Gogh's work, but instead of rough edges everything is smeared out and flowing. A great contender for this thread given the right environment (think Scandinavian woods or one of those corny sky-is-pink sunsets)

EDIT: What do you mean with sides vs. visual crazycatman?
 
I mean that 4-ho-met gives me no sides at all (nausea and such), while 2c-e gives me a lot of nausea, sweating, cramps, ...

Heh, that would be my usual setting during the summer... =D

One of my best experiences ever was a low-dose of 2C-E(~15mg) in exactly that setting. I've "selective eidetic memory" and that i can remember as if it happened 5 minutes ago.
 
For me the most visual psychedelic was 2c-b. On that, everyone left a huge trail and colors were constantly changing, which changed my whole field of vision beyond a meter or 2 into a colorful soup.

DMT is in second place: everything looked like it was rendered in 3D with very little detail. That was a really interesting visual effect but with the 2c-b more was going on.

I have to say I never tried 4-ho-met or NBOMEs though. Plan to do 25c soon.
 
It depends on dose really, a varying high enough dose of different drugs can bring you to the same area visually. I guess ill go by which trip's visual aspect seemed most prominent. DOB is definitely the most visually centered psychedelic drug I've tried. A low dose (1.3mg) was very visual, and the visuals just kept coming and would not stop for a long time.
There was also a clear/focused yet still trippy headspace, a body load, a really long duration, but the visuals stood out the most unlike others. LSD has a more important effect on thought and spirituality, 2C-B and 2C-B-nbome have very pronounced bodily feelings, sbrooms have a more cloudy/stoned psychedelic effect, etc.
 
Yeah super dose dependent but LSD at >350-400 ug seems to always have really cool visuals while other psyches are more hit and miss on the visuals no matter what the dose including DMT for me.

5. 2C-T-2
6. 4-HO-MET

9. DiPT (smoked) at times seems more visual than DPT

Best visuals? I'd say high dose MDMA / MDA take the cake.. then DMT..

Wait you're placing MDMA/MDA above DMT? May I ask what the hell was going on at your dose range?
 
I once saw a beautiful scene in my mate's fireplace, as if looking through a window out on the countryside (we were in the middle of town in a cellar) with horses passing by and a windmill on a hill in the distance. This was all extremely realistic looking.

It was at the tail end of a heavy MDMA session and I've always believed it was down to excess MDMA being converted to MDA in the body, that's what I've been told anyway... Unfortunately my limited experiences with actual MDA have failed to produce anything remotely like that experience. :(
 
Well, Wikipedia said that MDA is a metabolite of MDMA so there is a certain truth there. In my circles visuals are quite prevalent, sometimes even resembling a true psychedelic experience. I think if you push to dosage high enough you'll end up with an active dose of MDA, as it always seems to occur at the tail end of the evening indeed

Really not recommended for anyone though. Especially not to take these kind of dosages now just so that you can "trip", in most of these states I was way beyond fucked and even experienced true delirium a couple of times... Not a fun experience by any means
 
25i-nbome and DMT so far gave me incredible visuals. On NBOME I couldn't even see in front of me combining with the loss of dept I was literally unable to do anything :D It was kind of a bizarre experience.
