Seattle: Weed is too ubiquitous to even mention. Illegal shit is confined to its respective scene & character types, for the most part-I'm talking about the stigmas of using meth or heroin or smoking crack tend to divert the general public from ever even trying those. I'm going to have to say pills, specifically opiate pain killers, have really taken over & hooked more people from every walk of life at such an alarming rate & relative nonchalance. I guess people think they must not be too bad because they're produced by a pharmaceutical company & doctor approved somewhere down the line; meanwhile, some poor soul is physically encumbered & spiritually void by & because of all of these meds that have essentially captivated the hearts & minds of users after the 4th or 5th time they partake. Future heroin converts...makes me wonder why Afghanistan has magically become the chief provider of the worlds heroin supply since US forces began operations there at the same time as opiates have blown up, gotten millions of people hooked, & only until recently, have received enough attention for legislators to take notice & put some sort of crimp in the availability, strength, & even formulation of various medications-pretty much nudging alot of users towards Daddy H when they can no longer find a reliable source for their pills.
