The most disturbing thing you've seen

About ten years ago I was working driving along when I got overtook on a blind bend by a range rover didn't see the crash but heard it.rounded the corner and the driver of the range rover was staggering around saying I've killed him I've killed him we got out and he had hit a Renault Cleo head on the driver of the Renault had been cut clean in half will never forget that my work mate never really got over it and hasn't been the same since need less to say I used drink and drugs to block it out but that sight will stay with me till I die...

^^^That's reminded me of an old buddy of mine who had a similar experience. Well, it was an RTA anyway - perhaps that is the only similarity, as well as the fact that it was fatal.

He was driving down a notorious drain near Wisbech at dusk - and the car in front of him lost control and ended up in the water. Poor guy got out but there was nothing bar calling the services that could be done. He said the screams of those inside the car would haunt him forever, and although that is a second hand story, I too find it quite chilling.

As a child, seeing a video of soviet troops being tortured by the Mujahadin and then executed.
Beheadings in 'chop-chop' square, Riyadh.
Seeing a young girl after she got hit by a car and left in the street to die by un-caring motorists who just drove around the corpse (head fully rotated and facing backwards).

Never a nice thing to witness :(

Although I did see something recently that said that pregnant addicts probably should continue taking opies cos going into w/d whilst pregnant will stress the baby more and be riskier than detoxing a newborn. Am guessing that injecting heroin wouldn't be the best way of getting your opi fix if in that situation though :\

In other depressing addict news, the one sight that's always haunted me was watching some young kid (16, 17 - summat like that) injecting massive amounts of green methadone syrup into himself. Not gruesome or owt but properly disturbing to see somebody so young with so little interest in not causing himself major harm. Apparently he had some terminal illness and wasn't expected to see much - if any - of his twenties and he'd basically just given up. At the time I knew him he was shooting up 300ml of methadone at a time. Took forever cos he had to keep changing barrels whilst leaving the tip in a vein. Horrible sight. Made me feel really odd being there whilst he did it.

Harsh.

It's not like you can really do anything if someone's hell bent on doing something.
Poor kid must of known the score no doubt.

Not nice at all.
I started thinking about the worst things I've seen and realised its a dark place and I didn't want to dwell on those things. Real life things are unavoidable (often) but to go and seek them on the net and stuff is just unhealthy and damaging. I can't see what good could come of it, so all it can be providing your brain with is dark stuff and theres no need for that. Real lifes got enough of the macabre in it.

This.

Call me crazy, but I just can't see the point in wanting to be distressed.
(Even horror movies are off my list. Give me laughter/comedy over that stuff any day).

I hate all this shit, never watched Faces of Death, clicked a couple of rotten.com links when i first got internet years ago. Hate the way people obsess about it.

This is disturbing...these corncobs were left out for birds and squirrels to feed on....

Whilst I feel your pain, Jan - that must've been truly horrific - I do have to question why you were there. I can only presume child abuse. I can relate. My male parent was quite fond of playing Russ Abbott's Party Album. It always managed to spoil the atmosphere :|

lol, nice one cornish

THE OP'S FACE

just so we're all clear, nobody on here has ever seen my picture, im far too kind to make everyone that jealous

the rta stories remind me of an incident i read of a while ago, where two friends riding in the back seat of a car involved in a crash. after opening his eyes following the impact, one of the men was confronted by the sight of his former friend's decapitated head lying next to his knee facing up at him. when the surviving guy gasped in horror - the head's eyes opened, turned towards his friend and clearly focused upon him. after a couple of seconds the eyes closed for good.. but the incident lasted long enough for a changing look of 'utter shock and confusion' to be clearly evident on the disembodied, ostensibly dead - person's face

...and after a couple of hours of their Mum being away the kids heard this banging on the roof of the car... THUMP THUMP THUMP and suddenly all these lights went on THUMP THUMP THUMP and they could see police cars all around them and there was a voice on a megaphone saying 'get out of the car and walk towards us' THUMP THUMP THUMP 'and whatever you do don't look back!' so the kids got out of the car THUMP THUMP THUMP and they started walking THUMP THUMP THUMP and the sister couldn't resist turning round and there was an escaped maniac on the roof of the car and he was banging their Mum's severed head on the roof!

Oh man that story used to scare me every sleepover.

I actually cannot believe that I forgot about this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsUH8llvTZo
I was just surfing and stumbled across something that reminded me about this footage. I watched it while I was clucking as well, and my mind wasn't at it's best. I just found it the most depressing, heartbreaking thing I had seen in a very long time. It made me feel like I needed a good scrub in the bath after watching it.
So yeah, after the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs, that there is the most disturbing thing I have seen recently.

Edit - I realised that there is no clue at all as to what it is, hah - sorry - well, it is a Vice documentary about the use of Krokodil in Russia.

I wish I had never read an abortion education site. The tools and methods that are used to do an abortion is a lot more disturbing than I ever thought it would be.
The pictures are among some things I wish I could erase from my memory.
Am glad though that I at least have more knowledge on why having an abortion can have such a physical & mental effect on some women.
