The most disturbing film you have seen?

Didn't like it. The copy I saw was badly dubbed which didn't help, but yeah I wasn't too into it at all. :(

I don't know about other people but I can't stand dubs.
I liked Martyrs, maybe the dubbing just ruined it for you? Or maybe you're too lazy to read subtitles, I don't know.

Maybe I should try again with sub titles. That dub shit was wack.

But what I saw didn't seem too disturbing really. Getting shot and slashed and what not. But yeah i'll track down another version with sub titles and try again I think.

Few people here seem to like it so worth another shot.

Felidae.

It's a really violent cartoon movie about cats. A friend recommended it and I was kind of doubtful at first.. But, having seen most of the movies mentioned in this thread, I can confidently say that Felidae has some extremely disturbing violence. Like the nightmare sequences.. Wtf.

i found irreversible to be one of the few movies i had a hard time watching through. i stand alone is good too. noe's latest movie, into the void, was pretty amazing although not very disturbing.
and someone some pages ago named man bites dog, i didn't really find the movie that disturbing, but quite darkly funny at certain parts.
salo or the 120 days of sodom is another movie i have no desire to ever watch again. not that the movie is that graphic, but it certainly is not something that entertained me, which i guess was the whole point.
also, some people find ex drummer to be pretty disturbing. i don't, but i can see why. it's a great movie in any case.

i don't know, i guess i'm pretty desensitized when it comes to violence. american psycho (the book, not the movie) may be the only book i ever read where the violence was almost too much for me. it's a great book and surprisingly funny, but it certainly has some very crass violence in it.
also i saw felidae as a kid (about 11-12) and loved it. i wouldn't call it disturbing though. i was so surprised by the movie.

edit: kill list is also pretty graphic and disturbing. it's definitely up there with the more fucked up movies i've ever seen. it's great. everybody should watch it.

So I finally got around to seeing The Human Centipede last night. I was having a conversation with a girl I know from work, and we were brushing over various horror movies we have seen. I was steering clear of this thread, honestly, because she seems just too innocent, but then she blurted out "nothing was as disturbing as human centipede." Not only had she seen it, but she had also seen the sequel, which told me that she was cooler than your average girl (too bad she's married) if she went back for more. Anyway, I was inspired to actually watch it, which I did.

Honestly, the previews and reviews gave almost everything away, so I wasn't shocked all that more. The movie doesn't progress all that well. It's just not scripted...right? The plot is very empty. It's disturbing on a psychological level, yes, but with better writing and a better sense of theatrics, it could have been way worse. I will admit that the last scene (won't spoil it) actually bothered me a lot in what it suggested.

I think there's worse out there than The Human Centipede. Just my 2 cents.

Absolutely. Like most people, I already knew the plot before I ever saw the movie (since it was practically its only marketing point), so when the "big reveal" happens there's nothing really shocking about it. It's a movie written by a guy who had a gross idea one time and decided to share it with everybody else, and that's about it.

God, thanks for resurrecting the dreck that was the GPK movie--coming from someone who loved and collected the cards. Been trying to bury the film for a couple of decades, though.

Excited says a very disturbing movie is master of illusion. when people are dropping to knees on broken glass and cutting them selves woooo needed a break.

They're trying to make another Garbage Pail Kids movie. It's difficult to imagine it being funded to completion by anyone, but I'm actually sort of intrigued by the possibility of the creative reigns being given to that "PES" guy whose short film "Fresh Guacamole" is embedded in the story link. Just going off that short (not seen anything else of his) he reminds me of a pop trash Jan Svankmajer -- the kind of dude who could maybe pull off on film the sort of juvenile yet oddly fascinating surreal grotesquery that the GPK cards were shooting for (I can't say if they attained it or not -- I was like, eight, last time I even saw one). There's something deeply misanthropic about GPK that's disturbing, though. That impression may just amount to residual trauma from my childhood memories though.

Beyond the Black Rainbow
heres the trailer--http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDH0Ykyge0c
idk if its disturbing..i havent seen it but it looks crazy
I Spit on Your Grave- crazy movie all about revenge and rape...
Enter The Void by gaspar noe fucking trips me out..i havent even seen the entire thing cause its so long...one day lol

I spit on your grave... thats the old movie where the girl bites the guys dick off in cheesy d grade movie style rightt?

Fuck that movie it was the dumbest thing ive ever seen

I saw "The Men Behind the Sun" last night, and I wasn't so much disturbed as annoyed by how lame the writing/plot was. There are numerous scenes that were included for no real apparent reason, like at the very beginning when the young Japanese soldiers randomly stumble across a homeless Chinese boy and shove rice cakes into his mouth, and then everybody walks away like nothing ever happened.

Honestly, the Wikipedia page of Unit 731 was more disturbing than the movie, especially this part:

"After Imperial Japan surrendered to the Allies in 1945, Douglas MacArthur became the Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers, rebuilding Japan during the Allied occupation. MacArthur secretly granted immunity to the physicians of Unit 731 in exchange for providing America, but not the other wartime allies, with their research on biological warfare. American occupation authorities monitored the activities of former unit members, including reading and censoring their mail. The U.S. believed that the research data was valuable. The U.S. did not want other nations, particularly the Soviet Union, to acquire data on biological weapons."

For fuck's sake. 8(

^ Is that the one where they freeze some chicks hands and smash them to pieces with hammers?

I watched a film called Grotesque the other day. A Japanese torture movie. There's no storyline except how the two victims became captives and it's basically just some sick directors wet dream. I imagine he just thought up the most fucked up scenarios he could and somehow came up with the budget to bring them to life in the form of an awful movie. Start to finish rape and pretty...ahem...grotesque torture scenes. Really one of the worst films I've ever seen. Almost up there with A Serbian Film, but not quite, I think that one will remain champion possibly forever.

Also A Serbain Film isn't even disturbing imo. There's a big different between depraved ideas that make the majority of society uneasy with visual images and an idea that is actually disturbing.
That's probably just me though, yet to be disturbed by a movie.

3 Extremes and 3 Extremes 2 are both really up there.

Mulholland Drive I suppose could be considered disturbing, but I wasn't too disturbed, enjoyed it though.

I love watching movie.when i get free time,i watch movie.Maximum movie i like but the last part of Indian jones movie likes me disturb.
Hey there little guy. Wanna ride to Hannah Montana?
