Almost like I'm unwillingly blissed out when high & unwillingly sick when not... it's horrible. I try & stay away from opiates these days (except tramadol, & even that I keep to sane dosages).
Fwiw I don't feel that way until it actually IS forced, i.e. I'm sick if I'm not on opiates. I actually used to be a huge fan of opiates, but the memories of being sick & the magic draining away have really changed my attitude... at some point you just don't remember them fondly anymore. Same thing seems to be gradually happening with stimulants too, the whole thing is just becoming more unpleasant than anything else...BodhiSvaha33 said:Interesting you should say this... I actually know several people, including my wife, who genuinely dislike opiates for the exact reasons you cite (the happiness feels "forced"). You won't find them posting on this board.![]()

Still stimulants, but fading. I really have no clue what's next, maybe I'll do something REALLY crazy like quit the drug scene altogethersmokester said:^Same here. So what's left for us? Weed, oxycontin, and stims pretty much lost their magic as youve defined it above. What's your DOC now?
That's part of it, but quite honestly tramadol isn't anything to rave about... I mean, it's a 'buzz' at best, no matter the dosage. And it can be ugly occasionally when the norepinephrine effects get a bit too strong, particularly combined w/too much caffeine or some other stimulating substance... uggh. It's more or less a drug of last resort for me, when I just want to feel a bit better than baseline-normal.SteeleyJ said:Prolly cause you know you haveto keep it to sane doses or seizures start.![]()
