Gabapentinoids The Lyrica (Pregabalin) Mega Thread v 2.0

stabilized or out of loop of Phenibut it was 50g in two weeks, maybe couple days more but now after todays migraine which is something that I never suffer due to buprenorphine 2mg and with bupe 2mg 300mg pregabalin morning and 300night with Concerta 36 and lorazepam if needed, stabilized but memory of phen trippin??
I still feel like I was tripping two weeks cause Phenibut is great drug but just not for my normal life, when partying or something that lasts couple days this vendor is fast in delivery!

They want to prescribe this one to me for neuropathic pain/fibromyalgia. Not sure yet if I wanna do it or not. They all say it's basically non-addictive, but then I read a lot of people who think otherwise...
In my own experience, having been addicted to nearly every substance possible and enduring their withdrawals, lyrica is the one drug I can use for a month or so straight and stop without experiencing severe withdrawals. I felt mildly uncomfortable for a week perhaps, but nothing like opiate or benzo withdrawal. However, everyone reacts differently to various compounds as it’s quite evident that some have had trouble with withdrawals.

Lyrica is always in my arsenal of drugs. It’s highly effective for neuropathic pain and anxiety disorders when used in therapeutic dosages. It’s also very recreational when used in higher dosages and combines beautifully with other substances.

In a brief search using Google, Google Scholar, Bing, DuckDuckGo I failed to find ANYTHING. Safe dose ranges, studies, case reports of nothing, but there are warnings of this combination (which seems pretty obvious), including official ones from drug regulation agencies, but usually not backed with any scientifical data, only some wild guesses. In general any evidence about gabapentinoids safety, safe dose ranges, short-term and long-term toxicity, physical dependence potential and withdrawal, and so on, seems pretty scarce, in comparison to, for instance, most benzos. And as I'm now in pretty steep taper from high-dose pregabalin and have to take opioid analgesic (100-150mg codeine tid-qid), I don't really feel safe in this combination.

You will not find such data. These sorts of things are rarely studied in such an explicit fashion (ie, what dose of pregabalin is safe to combine with opioid x), unless said combination is particularly toxic, or the interaction has therapeutic implications (for instance combinations of antiviral medications). This is because, if there hasn't been an especially significant problem with the combination (or if there isn't a potential economic gain knowing the results), no one will fund the research.

Generally gabapentinoids increase the risks posed by opioids to a degree (though significantly less so than benzodiazepines). There is some research on this risk (they defined high dose pregabalin as above 300mg): https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/M18-1136?url_ver=Z39.88-2003&rfr_id=ori:rid:crossref.org&rfr_dat=cr_pub 0pubmed

Essentially you have to evaluate your own risk factors (age, respiratory function, etc) and tolerance to both drugs to assess the risk. This is what also makes such research difficult and unattractive since it is almost impossible to conduct research and conclude, "a safe dose of codeine and pregabalin is X mg and Y mg" since risk factors vary widely, and ignores the phenomenon of tolerance.

relevant though not peer-reviewed data:

Everyone is talking about 600mg treshlod 600mg because of seizures.

I’m on bupe 8mg daily and once a week I took 1g (1000mg) of it and the synergy is fucking great,
I have now WD’s from Lyrica howerer, I’m doing it for a couple of years.

600mg is prescribed.

I try and take it before a meal but if it’s a light meal (sandwich or something) I can dose 30mins and don’t notice much difference.

It's more mildly drunk if you're lucky, which isn't...to my understanding of the word "euphoric".

That feeling would only be euphoric to someone who's never taken anything.
That's bullshit. GABAergic euphoria can range from subtle to overwhelming and nauseating, and to say that you must be a druggie n00b if you get euphoria from it is ignorant at best, insulting at worst.

Today I took 900mg pregabalin with 240mg methadone and I feel almost nothing. I have trembling hands and tics in limbs.
Im dissiluniosed with this drug. I take at night to help sleeping and one day a week to potentiate methadone. But today only feel side effects.

I have trembling hands and tics in limbs.
Got this too, at high dosages (<900mg) and then I got a seizure from 1.6g, dosed so high cause I was desperate for a high and the lower dosages didn't do anything anymore. I think this is a warning for seizures to come if you dose any higher.

When you talk about seizure, I dont understand because there are diferent kind of seizures. I look in the traductor and it says convulsions.

Yeah, convulsions. Didn't see a doc so Idk what specific kind of seizures it was. I passed out and my girlfriend who was with me said she watched me having convulsions and talking weird stuff. Couldn't walk for two days after this incident and first had some difficulties remembering things so I was afraid of having damaged my brain but thankfully stuff recovered rather quickly.

Hi, for the past 12 days I have been dosing around 900mg. Should I expect some gnarly withdrawals? I won’t have any for 15 days.

I’ve never taken lyrica but I take gabapentin daily, usually exceeding my prescribed dose. 12 days 900 mgs I understand is a lot that is like 2,400-3,000 mgs gabapentin I think (I may be wrong). You should be fine unless you just finished withdrawals from pregablin and restarted for 12 days, in that case maybe.

It might be uncomfortable at most I’m guessing

I did just finish withdrawals but during that time I was off for 10 days. I re started for 12 and dosed a tad heavier this time around.

Hmm I guess I’d assume insomnia and uncomfortable sensations for 2 days. Shit sleep for 4-5 maybe. I hate when I run out of my gaba cause I dose more than I’m prescribed but fuck a junkies a junkieee

Well shit, I ran out of lyrica a few days ago and am concerned customs nabbed my package. Was shipped from overseas on the 3rd so it can just be the holidays, but usually it’s here in 9-13 days tops. Have had Covid and the lyrica seemed to really help with the body aches, nausea, and appetite, but now I’m having mild lyrica withdrawals on top of Covid.

When you say recreational in higher doses, how much are you talking about roughly? And what other substances does it combine well with?

I've found that tolerance increases very rapidly and never seems to go back down

My ability to build up a tolerance to lyrica has been kind of all over the place. I’ve been using it relatively consistently for past couple of years in stints of 3-4 month binges with some breaks in betweeen. Dosages have ranged from 300-450 all the way up to 1200mg daily. Sometimes tolerance doesn’t build too rapidly and goes back down quickly. Other times it seems like it’s the inverse, so it’s been quite of unpredictable in that regard.

I think it mixes well with all substances, perhaps not in excess with alcohol, but especially with benzos, somas, stimulants (in low dosages), psychs, and dissociatives.

The past few months I managed to stay below 600mg, but that was mostly due to being in school. Seemed like anything of 300-450 mg would start to inhibit cognition, so I tried to keep in lower range. Now I’m completely out. Usually the withdrawals are pretty mild and manageable for me, but I think the fact that I have Covid is making it more difficult.

I got to the stage where I was using many many grams in one go to achieve that pleasnt trippines effect (something I've never experinces from Benxos). I know that is a crazy amount, but even when I abstain for weeks it doesnt seem to reduce my tolrence for it
