raw honey and raw organic cacao mixed into green tea.

lotta training today, woo hah this shit is intense!

Little portion of fruit (like 6 1/2" cubes). Might've been papaya. Was good, whatever it was.

Wow, I feel like a parrot. That's fasting for ya.

The NEXT thing I eat is going to be "Old Fashioned" (read: non-instant) oatmeal with a banana. Half the serving size I normally eat (so, half a cup instead of a cup, dry measurement). :D

I make oatmeal a little weird... It's definitely not a pasty-like concoction, lol. I use half the recommended water (one cup oats to one cup water). Bring the water to a boil, add the oats, reduce to a low boil and let it cook for about two minutes (all it takes to soak up the water). I'm then left with a "rather dry" oatmeal. I then add in a dollop of pb or sunbutter. I normally add some sort of fruit, but I'm out.

That's exactly what I do.

I leave the oatmeal a little wet, because I add natural peanut butter, cinnamon, ground flax-seed, and honey, which makes thigns sticky.

I ran out of oatmeal, so I made brown rice and added that spice that smells like a sweet-curry, cinnamon, honey, then natural peanut butter and a splash of my roommates milk ;)

You can barely tell the difference between brown rice and oatmeal, and I tend to run better after I eat the rice (perhaps it has more calories/carbs?).

Anyway, I just drank a shitload of water after my run, because I have a drug-test to pass in a week! 8(

A big salad of mixed greens, sweet peppers, cucumber, avocado, bean and garlic sprouts and a few cubes of smoked tofu, lightly dressed with a little bit of lemon juice, olive oil and wheat free tamari. Yum.

Thinking of maybe a fruit salad for dessert. I made a big batch yesterday to have with breakfasts, but it's calling me now.

I didn't have time to make a good smoothie this morning, so its just been protein shakes so far today :(

Hopefully this will change later!!

Cliff energy bar... need my energies while trolling the internets. :D

Just noticed this post, Changed--Wasn't ignoring you!

I find it awesome that you made oatmeal the way I was informed was "weird," haha.

That's an interesting observation you made on the brown rice versus oatmeal for breakfast--Maybe it has to do with the ratio of soluble and insoluble fibers in oatmeal compared to brown rice? I don't know either ratio, but I know oatmeal (according to my professors/notes, not according to my own experiences) "significantly delays stomach emptying because of the amount of soluble fiber in it."

Hmm.. I'm extremely uninformed on scientific matters, but I thought fiber caused you to shit more often? And, you'd think that if something was soluble, it would pass through you faster than something thats insoluble...?

Either way, it tastes delicious (the oatmeal, not the byproduct), and always makes me feel good in the morning.

Yeah, the insoluble versus soluble fiber always throws me for a loop--Had to look it up to make sure I was getting it right in the last post, to be honest! But yeah, insoluble fiber passes thought you a lot quicker--This is the type of fiber in those Fiber One bars and whatnot. Soluble fiber delays stomach emptying, and is the fiber that keeps you full longer.

Either way, you gotta go with what ya like. I don't think I will ever tire of oatmeal in the morning. :)
