Voted for No. 4. My personal idea of being clean, although it's pretty far from the established definition of the concept, is not having my life controlled by drugs. If I'm on Methadone, smoke Cannabis everyday, go to work, come home, sleep normally, don't steal, don't crave excessively etc. that is my definition of clean. No one knows what I do, as there are no consequences.
If drugs begin to seriously dictate my day to day actions, then I consider myself to not be clean. It's a very abstract concept, but essentially, if I'm doing things the right way, I consider myself to be clean. I feel like I'll have substances in my body until I die.
