So this I guess is about music, however, the gorillaz' self-titled album is filled with ambiguous messages open to interpretation. What, if any, parallels to psychedelic consciousness do you find in the project?
I always thought Clint Eastwood was symbolic of the psychedelic experience. Sunshine in a bag seems like bright potentials held in a material, like a blotter lol. he says its coming on as it fades into the dude free styling . And the verse lyrics seem to describe boundaries breaking down and noticing Babylon structure from what I remember. The dude rapping is like the voice of the psychedelic exp I thought. but its been years since I analyzed it, and I was eating a lot of acid when I did analyze it lol.

I was always under the impression that "Clint Eastwood" was actually making a more direct reference to a specific Clint Eastwood film...actually a specific part of a specific Clint Eastwood film. The music video for it leads me to believe that that much more. But hey, that's the beauty of that record.
wow im jealous, that must've been dope. never seen em live as of yet..
