I was heavily addicted to GHB at first, rinsing a 500ML tub or more a day (20G NaGHB), for many months. I then got lazy and switched to just taking GBL without conversion, harsh on the liver and everything else on the system. Was also addicted to zopiclone for sleep, taking 4 or 5 7.5mg a night to counteract the rebound. I was dosing 3ML GBL every 1-2 hours and taking mephedrone like it was flour. Bad times. Then came the police raid, stopped everything dead - so switched to Vodka, over three months upto 1.4Litres a day, what a mess I was in. Went to Detox and was prescribed high doses of Librium (Chlordiazepoxide), 260mg first day, tapering down to 30mg on day 14, sorted out all wd symtomps from the G n alcohol. I'm now on maintenance with a drug called Baclofen (which my GP initially wouldn't prescribe), only 30MG a day. It has an affinity of the GABAb receptor and keeps craving for G to an absoloute minimum. You can buy it at online pharmacies fairly cheaply - it was recommended to me by a specilist Lonodn clinic who deal with GBL withdrawal.
I've learned a leason of respect with G, although I was a heavy drinker for 10 years, which now at 33 has stopped. The body still craves GABA activity, and I use phenibut once a week (again ran into trouble with this in withdrawals) and etizolam as a benzo similar drug which isn't classified. It's nice to switch off from life now and then and I'm coping well now.
Number one rule with G (as I started with for a few months), 15ML x 3 in the evening replaced all alcohol drinking, and as long as last dose was finished by 20:00, bed at 00:00 wasn't and issue with rebound. Oh, the olden days!
