No matter what you say, you always come off as a condescending twat.

I wasn't having a go at you for using G, I understand that just knowing it's there can be helpful. The same with benzos, in the past just knowing I could have them if I wanted to was enough to sort me out but you can't rely on them forever so it's good to try and work through the anxiety without any help from drugs.
I'm sure you'ld like to not have to rely on the G so I don't see how there's any harm in trying Treacles advice which worked brilliantly for me.
And sorry but IT IS mind over matter. That's exactly what it is. OK so it's more tricky when in work and dealing with customers but it's still mind over matter. It's not actually real in the sense that you are under no harm, it's all in the mind. You can either let it win or fight it (or more importantly forget about it).

I find that if I keep my drink/drug intake under certain levels (particularly alcohol), I don't have nearly as much of a problem with anxiety. Sometimes, of course, I decide the anxiety is worth the binge, but it really depends what I'm going to be doing during the period of time I will have to deal with heightened anxiety levels.
