The 'fixing with toilet water' thing

This thread is hard to read. I'm not sure if this is really harm reduction at all, it seems almost like it's promoting shooting up with piss/shit/spit/soft drinks/cum/whatever. Gross.
 
Idk about you, but When im sick and just spent the last cpl hours coming up with any money u can find and rush to meet my the last thing i wanna do is come up with a extra buck to go into a store get behind a old lady buying lottery tickets with pennys to get a bottle of water. Now again i usualy do use water but in some situations u just dont have any easily available u do what u gotta do.

Whats the saying? " desperate times call for desperate measures" im not saying it was smart using some of yhe shit ive used but then again doing heroin in the first place wasnt my brightest moment haha

Exactly. A thread like this wouldn't be allowed in Other Drugs, but it fits perfectly here.

It may not be pretty... but this is a reality of drug addiction and often times many of the things involved with being a junkie are pretty nasty.. That's life. If you don't want to discuss such things, you don't have to come here, but that is what this sub-fourm is for.
 
Ok, sorry for misunderstanding. I don't frequent here, but this thread still seems to be advocating this shit, which on a harm reduction forum seems reckless to me. But whatever, I don't care if other people, or even myself really, dies.

I understand what you're saying and wasn't trying to get after you in particular.
No matter how "shit my pants and puke at the same time" level sick I was, I'd still do what I had to to find some tap water.
Part of that is that I'd obviously have my gear and would be getting a little bit of relief from the placebo, the knowledge that I would be ok in a minute.

IDK. I saw this thread was pointed at elsewhere on the site as a prime example of how foul junkies are. I think that's partially where this is coming from.
We are a disgusting lot but I don't know where the line lies between reminiscing and glorifying. And in actuality I'm not sure I care. Cause I like DC. I'll just leave this thread be.

I understand where ur coming from. We do the nastiest of thing as junkies and sometimes it does come off as bragging. But when i tell stories theres more of a joy/laughter/sadness all mixed up in one. Joy cus i remember how much shit i coped or how high i got, laughter cus it disgusting how low i got at points in my life so all u can do is laugh, and sadness for the same reason as laughter and then some.

Drug Culture isn't an HR forum. It's for discussion about the various social aspects of drug use. And I don't see how you're getting the impression this thread is advocating the use of toilet water... I don't recall anyone saying, "Yeah, toilet water is my go to mixer of choice, it's totally safe!"

Lol right? If this is promoting the usage of toilet water to mix with then i must be more brain dead then i thought i already made myself cus i didnt get that point at all from reading all these msg's
 
Damn, saliva? Thats a new one to me lol, fuckin nasty. Nowadays if we need some water me n my boy will go to Wendys or somethin, n theyll give you a free cup of water.

Exactly. If this were the case, DC wouldve been shut down long ago. Its really the grey area of whats (un)acceptable on Bluelight.

Yeah it's a nice change of pace from my norm in OD. NASADD also.

It's great to have a place about strict HR like OD, but it's also nice to have places like DC and the regional forum to just talk about whatever, ya know? The realities and day to day of drug use.
 
im new here.. have been looking around. love this site btw..would always google random stuff and it would usually bring me here.. so i finally signd up.

anyways i have a question about water when iv'ing...is bottled water ok? thats what i have been using. if the needle goes into the water more than once i wont reuse that bottle..will open a new one. once i used plain tap water..that was before i started looking around on this site and decided i wont do that again. i boiled tap water once after that but am scared that something from the pot will leech into the water..like the teflon or whatever that coats the bottom is all scratched up.

but i seen bigfanofthemdrugs mentions they get sketchd when they use bottled water.. i thot i was in the clear using bottled water.. should i use an alternative? or is bottled water ok for the most part?
 
I use bottled water, don't really care..

But if you're worried about it - You should use Sterile water solution.
I'm pretty sure you can buy some at your local drug store..
Either that or boil water at 250 degrees for 20 minutes.
 
On the road, I almost always use bottled water, and use the cap to mix up...they changed the cap size of Poland Spring about 4 years ago to save plastic, but you can still get .6-.7 in there no problem...I know someone who used puddle water to shoot up and got fungal endocarditis and died!

I've shot up in fast-food restaurants and every other damn place many times...never used toilet water! I have used the melted ice and soda from trashed cups sitting in my car and other questionable things, but that's a rarity...

Occasionally, as an IV drug user, you may by some strange twist of fate find yourself in a situation where you have to fix quick, and there's no fresh water in the immediate area! I can count on one hand the amount of times that's happened in 15+ years of shooting dope, and anyone using toilet water with a sink in the same fucking room is an idiot!

One situation I recall, I was at a concert with porta-potties and needed to do a shot and didn't have a bottle of water....I had to stand in line for the toilet for 45 minutes...I realized when I got there that I didn't have water! There was a mixed drink glass just sitting there on top of the toilet paper in the porta potty with melting ice...You bet your ass I mixed up with that shit! Other than situations like that, there's no excuse to use questionable water!
 
Idaho is a terrible state for any drug users. No such thing as a needle exchange here, I know many people that use bottled water and cold kitchen tap water.
I orderEd bacteriostic and fresh rigs to help out a group of junkies I used to be friends with. I'm always as safe as I can be when doing my drugs.
