So, I got my first thread ever rejected and removed. heh. Oops.
However, the moderator did make the suggestion that the section in my post concerning meditation was somewhat original, and that I should re-post a thread oriented around the concepts of opiate withdrawals and meditation.
So, let me explain a few things up front. I have been meditating for almost 3 years now on a very regular basis. I practice Chi Gong daily and meditate as often as I can.
Through my fight against my own addiction, I used meditation as a stepping stone from a junkie to someone who helps others out with their addictions.
The two topics I would like to cover here are:
1) Using meditation to curb withdrawals
and ...
2) Opiates and it's affect on energy work and meditation
I have found that it is possible to completely curb first day withdrawals with meditation. At least in my experience. In my training, my instructor teaches conscious serotonin and endorphin release. There are many ways to go about learning this technique, so I'm not going to go into that right now. However, I have found, if you put in about an hours worth of laying meditation (after, of course, learning proper meditation techniques) you can completely keep all withdrawal symptoms at bay. You will most likely need to put in an hour meditation several times within the first day at the first sign of each withdrawal symptom that surfaces throughout the day. The problem lies within attempting to get into the second day. When you get to sleep, you no longer are capable of consciously subduing the symptoms. The problem with this is that you will wake up the second day deep into withdrawals. It seems that there is a threshold of withdrawal severity where which if you pass that threshold of a specific gravity of severity, meditation becomes useless. After this threshold is passed, you will no longer be capable of using meditation to bring it back down. This is something I am interested in investigating further, and if anyone is interested in helping with some of my meditation research, I would be more than happy to form some cooperation.
The second topic is on how opiates affect energy work. For those of you who are familiar with this, and/or believe in spiritual energy, this should make some form of sense. It appears that medium to large doses of opiates tend to "loosen" the energy body. So much so, that with very little preparation and meditation while under the influence of an opiate, one may find it unusually easy to emit large amounts of energy that another person may feel it quite easily. This emission may be described as an electric shock slightly less violent than a good 110-120V wall socket jolt. After further investigation into this phenomena, it has become apparent that it is not just the relaxing nature of opiates which cause the 'astral matrix' to loosen. I believe it is a more spiritual property of the opiate family. Astral projection becomes much easier, as well as otherworldly communications and visions. One of the most frequent, and easily induced experiences is the "tapping whorble". This sensation will manifest itself after having become intoxicated with an opiate, getting into a light-level meditation, and lightly tapping an object. After a few taps, you will experience an energetic displacement sensation wherein your energy will leave through the finger or palm at the moment of impact. You will feel your energy "whorble" and vibrate with a high density and low level vibration. This energetic vibration will echo throughout the object you have tapped several times, such that it will feel like an extremely heavy 5 to 20 mhz vibration. You will be able to feel the object from within. After the whorble, the energy will "snap" back into place within your arm/palm/fingers.
This whorble is quite real. Be aware of that. Should you attempt to project the whorble onto another person or animal, due to the nature of weirdness, you will most likely frighten that person. I would recommend against this. You don't want any friends thinking you're some sort of demon or spawn of Satan.
So, there you have it. Two topics I thought would interest some of you. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
Thanks,
