The EADD Kratom Thread v1. Chew those leaves? Bleugh!

Ha! Eno and kratom work pretty well together! :D

I was listening to the album he did with Nico last night. Some proper Eno might go down a treat actually. Though at the moment I'm listening to Swans play the same note menacingly for like, an hour.
 
Yeah they do! Haven't listened to him in ages so was really nice. Not heard the one he did with Nico, will have to find that. Not listened to anything Nico-related actually but love Eno in general and he seems to sort of span genres so...

Speaking of the same note menacingly for an hour, I think Basinski's Disintegration Loops would also be a good one. Debating a tiny teaspoon before I go to sleep but want a decent night tonight as mate round tomorrow and as nice as sleepywakey is I also like Just Sleep.
 
Ah, lucky. Like I said no experience with opiates except this and codeine, and codeine makes me sleep like a baby, long after the initial high wears off. So yeah gonna forego a bedtime dose and then that's myself done with it til next week I think due to various commitments. Will also be acquiring ginger tea on Saturday so that'll be a godsend I think. If I don't sleep tonight hopefully I'll have etiz for tomorrow. Two nights without sleep is my max before I go a bit mad.
 
A lot of people say they have trouble sleeping with codeine. I'm like you - I sleep really well. Maybe it's the strain you're using? Or it could be a quirk of body chemistry. Aren't you on antidepressants as well (don't mean to pry or owt but I read yer posts, like), so could there be an interaction there, perhaps? Dunno.

Anyway, sounds like you've got things planned out regardless. Very responsible of you! :)

I've taken a smaller dose this evening (a tablespoon and a half) but I'm feeling a lot better from it. Could be the beer, though I've only bought two. Can't be the uplifting music, as I've still got Swans on. This stuff really can be nice!

See, this is why I like EADD...Eno, Nico, and SWANS mentioned in the same sentence! I bet you could search all 600000000 pages of BL that isn't EADD and find nary a mention of Swans. ...:D

Edit- followed by a mention of Basinskis disintegration tapes. I think Shammy blew my mind several years ago by mentioning Basinski but still!

You could search a hell of a lot more than just BL and not find this stuff.

Haha, I'm a lot more wussy in my nodding music than you lot it seems, couldn't manage it to The Stooges at least, but yeah Basinski and Eno and John Surman are pro choices as far as I'm concerned. I've not heard of Swans but a quick wiki tells me I might like. Did have Shpongle on last night. That gets rolled out very rarely in my music collection ha :D

Kratom-wise, this is a bigger appetite suppressant than most stims to me, fucking hell. Barely eaten in the two days I've taken it. Got loads left but giving it a rest over the weekend. Actually slept properly last night and feel good, and the thought of swallowing more of it made me gip so...

BTW Knock's yoghurt method was p good, though looked kinda grim at first. Passionfruit and papaya for what it's worth.
 
Very fruity!

I bought natural again last night by accident, and to my surprise, the kratom didn't taste all that foul! Kinda like eating tea leaves (from a bag, not fresh).

Also avoided a redose, though I still ended up in a nod-like state somehow, which was nice.
 
Oh that's not so bad! I assume, I've never eaten tea leaves from a bag. Suspect the taste is one you eventually get used to; I've never minded shrooms and codeine is alright now. Some of the more 'chemically' tasting stuff I'll never get used to tho.

I too avoided a redose, slept well as suspected and an hour past my normal wakeup time. That and I couldn't stomach it and really thought I should eat something.

Though I was wondering earlier how kratom would combine with coca tea.. cos.. rock n' roll, and stuff. 8)

Must get some coca tea and try that combo actually. It's not like I touch cocaine these days, anyhow.
 
am i the only one noticing that a fair deal of kratom powder seems to pass straight through, unchanged and undigested. Some of it must be getting absorbed as it is certainly having some effects on me. Im trying to employ kennys technique of chewing it, but it feels ridiculous chewing a smooth youghurt with a bit of powdered kratom in it. Trying it anyway, allways been one to want the best tips and tricks.
 
Kenny wasn't suggesting chewing the yoghurt, I don't think, was he? I think he means chewing the leaf directly, stuff that hasn't been reduced to a powder. Can't say it's ever appealed to me enough to try it but he does swear by it.

And I have never analysed my droppings so closely that I've noticed kratom powder in them. But my eyesight isn't what it once was. I can't even see it in yoghurt, let alone yoghurt droppings. I see there are dark patches in the yoghurt but if I hadn't seen it in yoghurt before, I wouldn't guess it was kratom. So I'm struggling to imagine how I would recognise it in the bog.

Do you stir your kratom in thoroughly? I spend about three minutes stirring it in. Is it coming out dry? 8o
 
theres no way of answering without going into disgusting detail :sus: I dont put the waste product under a microscope lol but undigested kratom powder can be seen on the toilet paper. I do mix it very thoroughly, i also spend about 3 minutes mixing it with youghurts, it is not dry, its all mixed in. I just swallow it whole, i wonder if it would be better to mash up and chew the youghurt and powder even if it is essentially unchewable.
 
Well MDB, it is straight up fiber (re cellulose and a lil' lignin) so it is by nature indigestible. But your HCl factory also known as the stomach does a great job of extracting all them alkaloids in their natural base form. I think you are getting the goodies. I've made long steeped tea w/ acid and noticed no difference to a straight up toss and wash in effects. ...And likely because my opi receptors are so fried I never got any constipation whatsoever from it.....the contrary actually. 50 g of fiber daily produced nice regular bulky green shits! :D
