The EADD Fact Of The Day

That would be a long and complicated story rather than a simple fact. It would also require breaking both member and staff confidentiality to post such details up - not to mention the fact that only admin know what happened - and I couldn't even swear to the fact that they all do either. It ultimately boils down to the fact that public discussion of individual situations is not only impractical - and quite possibly immoral given the sensitivity of things that are involved in some cases - but also essentially impossible without disclosure of potentially hundreds of relevant materials - many of which would also necessitate public posting of other members' private info and all that would cascade down further from that.

I can give a personal promise that every disciplinary action is documented and that there are several checks and balances within the system to try to make things as fair as possible within the particular set-up we have here on BL. My personal belief - without having complete knowledge of the whole situation but with more than is publicly presentable without major changes - is that this process failed due to very specific and unique circumstances beyond the control of anybody, and that that situation was rectified as far as seems possible.

Beyond that the basic fact is we cannot discuss the ins and outs of individual cases publicly as they involve personal info from multiple sources. I doubt any of us would appreciate that happening with our personal info and I'm sure Evey is no different.

Really? So when Sadie disclosed the contents of one of the private messages she sent me to the board, that was ok was it..?

If you're gonna make bullshit rules up, it seems only fair that both sides of the party stick to the rules.

there's no reason - bl guideline or moral guideline - that the sender of a message can't choose to make that content public.

if you send me a private message, as the recipient i will respect your desire to keep the communication private. it's your content, your decision. if you change your mind and decide that you'd like to make that content public, that's fine. it's your content, your decision.

on topic: the three wealthiest families in the world own more in assets than the combined wealth of the world's forty-eight poorest nations.

Sounds complicated. I love British people lol. She did seem like a bit of a handful tbh

The name "bonfire" is derived from the fact that bonfires were originally fires in which bones were burned

Fo' shizzle... ;)

Not heard the term 'shizzle' in ages - this was posted in PR (2009) and stuck in my head ever since.

"these chunky chunka chunkalunks are bomb diggity fa shizzle on ma twizzle nizzle. Stock up while a nigga has a chance fa sure word :D "

Its funny / tragic that I mentioned it to him a year later when he was calling somebody an 'e-tard'
