The EADD a trifle annoyed thread v. I bet that smarts a bit

My house is seriously haunted.

Every time the parents are away, without fail, a fuse goes and a few hours later when you've finally relaxed the alarm starts blaring. So I was on my way home last night excited for the warmth and peace when I found out it was doing it again. We fixed it, I went to bed and was woken in the middle of the night with it doing it again. I was prepared to jump from my window :( fucking ghosts man.

That's not ghosts, that's physics.

Are we talking actual wire fuses, MCBs or an RCD? Something in your installation is marginal, anyway, though I'd need further information to be sure of what.

I'm a trifle annoyed that the default behaviour of web browsers seems to be, if a form has an onSubmit attribute that refers to a non-existent function (or a function which lies downstream of a really bad syntax error that sends the JavaScript interpreter into a sulk), to allow the form to submit anyway. An onSubmit function probably is doing a few sensibility-checks on form contents.

I'm also a trifle annoyed at myself for not trying to submit an error-filled form in the first place .....

Julie:

Please tell me how to stop websites constantly displaying the message:

"XXXXX is now in fullscreen mode"

Linux Mint 17.1

Firefox.

Thanks. :D

(i.e. when watching videos)

I've been having that recently, too. It started off just in a few web players but now also happens on youtube.

It only appears for a few seconds though, so it doesn't annoy me. I don't see why it's necessary though as I can figure out if something is in fullscreen. I'm sure it has some utility for someone though.

As I understand it, it's a Shockwave Flash issue, so it's not even Microsoft or Linux or Firefox-related. I've spent a stupid amount of time trying to figure out how to remove it. :!

What???

Go to youtube. Play random video. Click fullscreen mode.

Sorry, message is: "Press Esc to Exit Fullscreen Mode"

I want that removed from my life.

Using Win 7 and Chrome the message disappears after but a couple of seconds on this machine, that said I can't find this 'Play random video' option of which you speak

I'm running NT in Virtual box ATM maybe I need that ?

Im 'corresponding' with British Gas about an issue with my bills and online account, and I've finally had my opportunity to vent about their prices and be an awkward difficult wanker of a customer at British Gas. It really is about time Cameron and Co sorted those fuckers out. They are robbing us blind and no one is doing anything about it.

This is part of the email i sent them......."After all, your (and the other big companies are just as bad) energy prices are STILL extortionately expensive, even though wholesale costs have plummeted, and I don't leave anything switched on unless it's essential, even if the running costs of any device may be relatively low, the costs soon mount up. I'd rather have the thing removed or change supplier if you insist on me keeping it switched on permanently. At no point was I told that I have to keep it permanently switched on.

Also I strongly resent that the energy companies are not passing on the huge reductions in wholesale prices to customers, yet hike them up immediately the wholesale prices do increase, and haven't yet made even made the bills comprehensible to the average consumer. It's about the only thing I feel strongly enough to contact my local MP about as energy expenditure is a massive proportion of my living costs every month."

It hasn't helped much, i still feel more than a trfile annoyed. Perhaps its also because its about the 3rd time ive placed a kratom order only to receive an email from them a few hours later stating they have a discount weekend starting in a few hours. :! On the positive side it means i might receive my order tomorow rather than next Wednesday or something. I might stockpile a little more during the discount weekend.

And its taking me fucking ages to gather together all the info i need to chase up my tax rebate for the last year. I didnt earn much over £10,000 for the whole year, as i was out of work and not earning for a few months here and there during the tax year. So I should not have paid hardly any tax at all, yet ive had hundreds deducted. On the bright side, it'll be a fucking boon if i get a big fat cheque or bank transfer from the inland revenue soon, I've no doubt that it will be worth all the hassle.

I'm slightly annoyed that I have zero idea as to what Julie is annoyed about.

Oh and Felix, stop entering full screen mode. That'ĺl sort it. =D

I'm also annoyed about everything and my fuck it mood seems to be growing with each minute. Might go and hoover up the powder left on my desk from last night and feel even more in a fuck it mood but in a nicer way.

Happy shopping sounds good and I might also indulge although I have no money. Meh.
