Bear in mind this is live in the club. These dj's knew how to mix and blend...these mc's knew how to compliment the sounds and work the crowd without dominating. Also bear in mind a fair few of these tunes would have been being given their first public play - dubplates

These Metalheadz sesions became legendary - I feel quite blessed to have attended a. few of them around this period.
 
I love it when you suddenly remember a great tune you haven't thought about for a few years at least.

Seeing Metalheadz remiinded me of this old classic. Positive era. And a great Saturday morning come afternoon tune too IMO

im out of the dn'b loops & wld really appreciate any tips to djs/producers/labels representing the kind of dubwise/dubby roller style which might be a wide net..i can enjoy the liquidy or techier sides of that, but the tracks below from a DJ Rohan mix (Bassbin Recs) from 2004-ish are pitch perfect - rude, lean dubwise quakers with the minimum ingredients just to get the job done!! - if i cld find more like this I would be stoked.





I like dn'b across the board but found Digital, Spirit & Bassbin Recs to be staples. Marcus Intalex too. R.I.P Spirit 😇
