Had some lean last night. I gotta say if you're drinking lean, and you're not smoking swishers and listening to Screwtapes, you got your priorities out of order.

Pretty simple thread: What single substance gives you the greatest appreciation for music?

For me, it's the one and only - MDMA :)

What do you guys think?
 
With lsd i can hear, see and feel every bit of the music:)

Also i find cannabis can have a big impact of increasing your music appreciation, but obviously not as much as other psych's.
 
Acid or mushrooms. No contest. I can listen to anything in my library and always find something new to appreciate from songs I've listened to for years when I'm tripping. You hear the songs unfold perfectly and BREATHE. This also applies to pot, but to a much lesser extent.

When it comes to other substances, I find that I can only enjoy particular genres while I'm under their influence. When on MDMA, I'll listen to electronic music of all kinds...but if I try to put on anything else, I just can't get in to it. One time when I was rolling out, a friend put on A Perfect Circle and it only made me depressed.

And while I'm still rambling, opiates tend to push me in a mellow rock or jazz direction. Stimulants make me want to listen to hip hop or aggressive rock. Okay, stopping now.
 
Music and other drugs

Its kinda common knowledge that when people are smoking pot and high they enjoy music. It enhances it. Is anyone else like this on other drugs. I have found on opiates I really enjoy just laying there and letting the music wash over me.
