Ha the cinema was pretty good :D It went on for aaaages though, like just over 3 hours maybe? But yeah it definitely was WTF =D

n3o, the party you guys went to sounds so wonderful! This is the kind of party that i love - a more intimate group of friends; you can get as loose as you want and it's safe as houses, and there is such an awesome atmosphere created! So. Much. Fun!

'bushed as' is on in the blue mountains this saturday...
If anyone is going to it make sure you watch me blast some tunes at 3am :D

Ya, I see your point, but I think the message will get lost in this thread. It's not a well-known group, the DRG. A separate thread will get the topic title the attention it needs for a higher chance of effective response.

Dude I would fucking LUUURVE to come and see your set but me and my significant other are going to a B&B in the mountains for the weekend. We actually won't be far away! Like 20-30 minute drive away hahaha :D But we'll be drinking all evening so won't be able to drive there.

A few years back I'd heard of and met some people from a group called DRG (Doof Research Group), with a mission statement of documenting & researching the affects of psytrance/doof/goa (binaural beats?) combined with UV & geometric images and the use of geodesic(?) domes on human consciousness.
I believe they were based in South Australia.

I'm curious about the group; how serious it is and what sort of research they undertook, and what results.

If anyone knows how to contact them, I'd much appreciate it.

Sorry mate, haven't heard of them. However it does sound extremely interesting! If you come across any of their work maybe post a link so we can have a read :)

where did you meet these guys? post or pm any info you remember and it might trigger a memory in someone. there's enough of us around that we might recognise the people involved even if we're not aware of the project.

Umm... Kriz is the only name I remember. There were a few from @DRAVE (Adelaide Rave) I remember mentioned 'Doof Research Group'.
