It's been decided - we need to experience a Sydney doof one of these days. Preferable before i get knocked up so mebbe this year sometime. Would love to doof with you gals :D

They've just announced a new party, done by my favourite crew from around here. It's on the Queens birthday long weekend but date's aren't entirely confirmed yet. Will be three days and AMAZING!

That should give you some planning time too :]

Doofing with you guys would be amazing! We should try and get Samadhi and Pop in on it too!! DOOF ROAD TRIP!
 
Ohhh can't do Queens B'day weekend sadly - that's when our most favorite doof of all is on - Royal Doof.

There will be doofs in spring time in Syd yeah??? I reckon that's when we may be able to make a treck up! Hopefully anyways! It's on the cards, i haven't told the hubby yet but im sure he'll be happy to haha! (he's asleep right now, so ill just plan away if i may)

Totally understandable; I've heard good things about Royal, I'm more keen to check it out than I am Rainbow!

There'll definitely be a spring party of five. I'm not sure of any in the planning stages yet but I'll find out and let you know. We should try and plan it for a weekend when Mr Neophyte is in town too, I don't get to party with him anywhere near enough.
I'm sure the hubby will be down for it, he'd be crazy not to be!

And yeah man in all honesty if the Royal crew can get that doof up and running solidly again, i recommend it far more than Rainbow - by a long shot. It's an actual doof where Rainbow is a festival - so it's different in a lot of ways. Rainbow is so much more commercial. If you're hardcore and can handle a winter doof, you will LOVE Royal. I totally prefer winter doofs, they're a lot more intimate and soul enriching!
 
I've lost my doof jadedness after RS and Maireya :) :)

Completely agree!

The fire's bring people together, and theirs nothing quite like a misty dark forest with darkpsy echoing through the tree's, the atmosphere feels very mystic.. my most memorable doof's were freezing cold making the quick dash's between the warmth of the fire to get more firewood.. haha! ;)

Plus, the crispy feel of the air in the morning is very sobering.. during summer i often wake-up dehydrated and very drained.

Oh and YES, winter doofs are totally where it's at! I absolutely adore winter for many reasons, and winter doofs are one of those reasons :) <3

The best eskies for doofing (or anything for that matter) are on sale.

Definitely worth getting, especially at this price. They are far superior to other eskies on the market, especially for spending days out in the bush at a time.

Do you have one ? Was looking at these a while ago and was chasing some feedback. Do they keep ice for a few days like some of the competition claim ?

I don't personally have one but folk in my village do (perhaps even dtta??) and yes, they keep ice in them for a few days if you treat them properly....obviously you've still gotta take care to keep it in the shade and not open it a billion times a day.

I have a pretty decent Esky brand one that I spent around $100 on and I wish I'd splurged and gotten one of these. Seriously, these things are cheap as chips at the moment, I'd highly recomment getting one.

BUT, even better than these babies, is a $30 freezer from Ebay! that's what we use for our kegs and drinks. fill it up with ice, open it a billion times a day and there's still ice left after four days, even with it just sitting on the back of the trailer =D

Yup, definitely the goods. Once I had really cold water and a couple ice cubes in them several days later. Just need to keep the top tightly closed. (Don't need to latch it; just make sure it's tight.)

Well made too - tough.
