Social The Delphic Oracle - Know Thyself: P&S Social Ampitheatre of Doom

Hmm, I've had a three weel break from pregabalin and two weeks from Ghb. Gonna have a few doses tomorrow (G) and continue holding off on pregabalin. Shit scares me a bit, I had mild withdrawal after only a few weeks of use. But it helps my back pain so much...

Pregabalin is definitely the strongest Gaba I've tried. Only GHB is maybe stronger. It seems to lose effect over time, but two days seems to get most of it back.

I can't believe you haven't tried it before. I got addicted to that much before benzos. Benzos are much more bland, I think. I actually got a prescription for it from a psych doctor if I as willing to take Orifil with it.

Pregabalin is much nicer than benzos, the effects of benzos are so similar to depression for me. Just lifelessness. I'd rather be anxious. :\

I'm wary as fuck of GABA drugs tbph.

Yeah pregabalin is pretty great, the first time I took it I had like 300mg and it was right up there with the best I've ever felt from drugs, intensely euphoric and the body high was legendary. Benzos don't even remotely compare. The gabapentinoids are really good in general... where benzos make me feel like part of myself is shut off, very subtle but less alive feeling, phenibut and pregabalin (both gabapentinoids) make me feel MORE alive, more into things, a true feeling of contentment and happiness. I find gabapentin itself to be alright, but not nearly as good as either of those, and I just don't really like baclofen much at all. Although it's a good muscle relaxer.

You need to be wary of the Pregabalin withdrawal. Like withdrawing from benzos with an opiate touch. :)

Has to be pretty much the worst withdrawal out there. Although benzons don't compare with opiates in unhappiness or deep malaise. But they're so much more outdrawn and worse in a another way.

I go in and out of slight physical dependence to phenibut from taking it roughly every other day for long periods of time. Last time I stopped taking it, I used baclofen to take the edge off and after about a week I was good. I could see pregabalin having a much worse withdrawal. Some people have reported really bad withdrawals from phenibut too, but I haven't experienced them myself. Even when I took it every day at 3, 4 or even 5 grams total in the day for a year, I just felt really anxious for about a week when I stopped (pretty bad anxiety but nothing worse).

I got a very effective sleep aid from my local co-op, their in-house brand, and it has a combination of valerian, melatonin, and 100mg of L-thianine, and something else, maybe chamomile extract iirc.
Yeah pregabalin withdrawals are no joke- I had a gnarly week when I transitioned to gabapentin recently even though the gabapentin should have been an adequate substitute, but now that I'm adjusted on a good dose I actually prefer it in most ways over pregabalin, therapeutically it feels more effective right now. Really the only thing that pregabalin has over gabapentin is that it has a somewhat more recreational buzz if taken in sufficient doses without a tolerance. I'm most happy that I'm not on a super expensive controlled substance anymore. It was like $400 for a month supply without insurance.

For me, its $44 a month in aus. All strength capsules are the same price, its a government subsidised medication. And is still very costly. Most medications are about $5-$6 here.

Whoops price discusion.

I think price discussion is OK if it is over the counter or prescription medication. Correct me if I'm wrong

I'm not concerned about it. :)

Yeah medications in the US that are branded, without insurance, are obscenely expensive. Generics are quite cheap usually, depends on the drug. I think pregabalin is only allowed to be produced as Lyrica, it's branded so they make it super expensive. It's so dumb.

I think a generic comes out next year. There is one in UK methinks.

I have found some generics to be less effective though compared to the branded ones. Valium brand was always better than generic, same with some codeine products...

Xorkoth, please be wary about in-and-out dependence. I imagine phenibut may have potential to kindle the cns meaning the mild withdrawal will get less mild in time. I'm in the position of being close to unable to use GABAergics at all. Any consecutive use leads to rebound. Excluding Ghb but even that is starting to turn. None of this is worth the price you pay. Of course, these things can be used safely but I wager that is once a week maximum.

Yeah I know. Reducing, I actually have some baclofen which really masks it well, I dislike baclofen though. I guess I just really like the effect phenibut has, which is the reason for this in the first place. When I go without it I get anxiety for sure, I mean I take it every other day but if then on that day I would have taken it, I don't, it's not a great day, but it hasn't ever been bad. It does make me nervous though, I realize I am playing with fire. Baclofen actually will be a great thing to stop it with because I don't like the effect of baclofen, so I have no desire to take it beyond soothing a little rebound anxiety. But truth be told I haven't tried to go for more than 4 or 5 days without phenibut in like 2 years.

I've also noticed that a lot of generics seem inferior too. I always wonder how much is due to suggestion, and how much is due to the branded ones being formulated in such a way as to increase bioavailability or something.

It's not like benzos. I think the best decription would be two Eziolam with a light slimulant. So not very sedative. That suits me be as I also find benzos quite depressing (Eziolam is more stimulating).

Temazapam is the worst. I twitch and feel so empty when I take it. Weird, it used to be a favorite for sheer euphoria. I actually have some that I have no interest in consuming.

Brand name valium kicks in really rapidly for me as opposed to the zillion generics. There was one Indian brand that did fuck all.

Non psychoactives, such as ranitidine also work better if brand name (ie zantac). By better, I mean faster.

I think its the formulation, legally the active needs to be effectively identical.

wilow, i'm exactly the same as you with benzos -- used to love temazepam the most (especially combined with dissociatives) but now they just leave me feeling listless and depressed.

Its weird, I used to love those feels but its shitty now.

I got mega fucked today, dissociated and actually ate ,40mg of temazapam which was stupid, had ghb and pregabalin maybe MXE too. I was out of it, I passed out and scared people. Dif not intend this... But I fel great now! :D

Pharmakos. <3 you good?

Have you anything you could use to sleep ie, pot, benzo?

But im glad your okay. Youre a strong dude:)

On the subject of pot, I'm so stond. Overpiring the amphetamine/disso/multi-downer combo. Sleep seems irresistible.

my body feels all floppy with energy racing through it. :)

feel silly 8o:p:p%)=D <38(:\:)

The ol' energized but floppy body feeling. Sounds pretty great. Like a gummy bear on a rollercoaster. That's my mental picture of you right now and I'm sticking to it :)

Edit: it's a thing apparently
