The bricks have all crumbled,
Weeds have risen through, oh life.
The bleached bones of a sideways fence,
Memory of a better time
memory of concern, of self, of mine
All is seen through a sepia chrisom
The leviathan glimpsed but never known
It isn’t seen- its reported, its loathed.
Its tainted- all is tainted.
I can’t touch it- it’s folded dimension.
Look up, the stars are gone.
They were never there.
You’ve left me, mother cosmos,
My heart splits- it knows
You’ve left me
A fallen soul, lost
in a dark place, forever.
editty: as context, wrote this many moons ago back in days of sombre feels. I found a whole bunch of poems I wrote, thgouh this one was nice and grim.
