honestly the reason that godel's incompleteness theorem is true is cause he would need someone else to help him detail the moles on his back

but it holds deeper philosophical truths :)

all STATEMENTS are reflections of matter

you can't prove everything about matter

because if you look at it at the quantum level ;)

p.s. if you guys have a problem with godel's incompleteness theorem then read up on him

he says that all definitions are either incomplete or incorrect or likely both

you CAN prove the existence of physical things

but no statements of logic are required to prove the existence of something you can feel

definitions = proof

a PROOF is always incomplete or incorrect

i can recreate an exact copy of you over here, but even though its a complete replica it will be incorrect because its not you... its copy number 1

yes he did remove himself from some of his equations, because the answers that would then provided would of led to more questions we were not ready to asnwer... the eternal golden braid must continue

i never made it past the first chapter of GEB tbh

douglas hofstadter... what the prisoner said wasn't true or false... it was just nonsense...

statements aren't all either false or true

there are partial truths

and then there are also statements that are pure NONSENSE

hofstadter tries to draw attention to nonsense and use it as a means to explain his religious/philosophical beliefs

i woulda listened if he woulda just said "hey this is the way i see shit"

he didn't have to make people sound crazy and what not :)

that prisoner is always speaking nonsense

every verbal statement is a reflection of physical reality.

physical reality is the only thing that CAN be proven

but it doesn't NEED to be proven
