The Deep thread

...very nice Lawson mix there.

I can see where our tastes differ, ever soo slightly.

:)

I love the track that starts at about 54:00

great track. I really liked that video. It was pretty funny.

I'm pretty sure they didn't actually make a video for it when it first came out. But then the track became so big that they had to make a video so it could be played on MTV. It was undoubtably the biggest techno track of 2001 - I remember seeing a load of end-of-year charts by DJs for 2001, and most house & techno DJs had it in their top 10.

yeah me too that's when it actually starts to get good. He was an amazing peak time DJ ten years ago - one of the best i'd ever seen but he rarely does it these days he doesn't need to anymore :)

I was playing this the other weekend fucking love this record - Akabu - Another World (Andre Lodemann Mix)

Lovin that bassline!!!

Noodle - have you heard Birds & Souls - Birds & Souls

- it's one of Lee Burridge's biggest tracks of 2010, and I reckon it's right up your street!!!

- you can't appreciate just how big that bassline is though until you watch this, this, or this

:)

MDMAHead you should come to basics sometime mate best soundsystem i've heard in the north this was when Claude played last year check it out @2:30 for the drop!!!

Been playing a remix of this recently called "the revenge remix" - Runaway - The Fire Below (Revenge bassline remix)

think i'm going to have to go buy this now after hearing it :) Atmosfear - Dancing In Outer Space (The Revenge Rework)

I think you mean 2 years ago! - that youtube clip is from September 2008 :)

The club looks like it's rockin! - I love it when you can see all the hands in the air :) (the fact that this was before the MDMA-drought might have something to do with it :) ). I will have to come to Basics sometime - it's a pretty legendary club and I've never been before. I might actually be going to Sankeys this Saturday to see Ben Klock. Unfortunately Dubfire is also playing, and he'll probably be boring as hell. It's also a shame that the Sankeys sound system isn't as good as it was before they refurbished it - the old soundsystem was the best club soundsystem I've ever heard!!!

Edit: By the way, zamzams - Are you going to any of the Warehouse Projects?

Lol - 2 years ago!!!! you mean it's not 2009 anymore?! :D
You know i never got to go to any of the last ones, not for want of trying though just never made it there due to a series of major cockups. then mates refused to go to future ones saying it was too rough or something. will have to make an effort to go though.

Trippy indeed!

MDMAhead: I really like the organic feel that voice and the sampled handclaps impart to that Birds & Souls track. The bassline is worth the wait man. Smart lyrics over the top is icing on the cake.

:)

And I love Sis. He is a great producer with his own original sound, as much as I've heard.

Sure...

Friendly Fires Essential Mix

If you look down the list a bit it's on that page and you can stream it. If you want to download it it's all over the web lol.

It's one of my personal essential faves, I listened to it on my mp3 player in the cab home after a Drum n Bass rave and it was so soothing on my ears! Really beautiful to listen to after the harshness of DnB lol! I also have a special bond with it because I was listening to it the first time I ever tried G on a nice sunny evening =D

Yeah I'm a fan of funky deep tech too! Great to mix :) Wow that's a wicked track listing might have to check that out myself!
