The Deep thread

Mmmmmm...

good!

I've liked all of the Terry Lee Brown Junior tracks I've heard so far, and this is no exception. It just meanders along (which a lot of people might find boring), but the groove is exquisite - so deep and sexy. I'm amazed I've never actually seen him DJ - I've seen just about all the other legends of tech-house, and no doubt I've heard his tracks played out on countless occasions.

Hey deep music lovers. I have some recommendations for you. These two...

Spicelab - A Day On Our Planet (Classic Trance/Ambient)

Anthony "Shake" Shakir - Frictionalism 1994-2009 (Detroit Techno/House)

... have some of the best electronic music I've heard on them, and I do think they fit the definition of deep.

Anthony Shakir and Oliver Lieb are both geniuses.

For example...

Spicelab - We Got Spice (Parts 1-2)
Spicelab - We Got Spice (Parts 3-4)

Shake - Electron Rider
Shake - The Floor Filler

David Durango's supernature EP on NRK is unbelievably deep.
check it out here...

still love this one too...
Sycophant Slags - Telling

and this...

ARGY - Thick Thin

he he - this one's class:-
Ray Okpara Feat. Nikki - Brainows

Aril Brikha - Winter

Wow!!!!!!

Edit: I've just realised this is on Kompakt. No wonder it's amazing!!!!!

I've still got his first release - hotly awaited more but they never came - didn't know he was still making music though
Aril Brikha - Groove La Chord

as per the comments - "is it legal to marry a record?" =D

So I got bored..............so I decided to do a Funk D'Void Top 10 :)

(in no particular order)

Funk D'Void - Diabla (Funk D'Void's 'Heavenly' mix) (Funk D'Void's biggest track to date, and also my favourite track of his. IMO it's one of the best EDM tracks ever made!!!!!)

Funk D'Void - Emotional Content (Sweet melodies :) )

Funk D'Void - To Ya Waistline (Deep house of the absolute highest quality!!!!)

Francois Dubois - I Try (Starts off quite dark, but then turns into a real hands-in-the-air piano-house anthem!!!)

Beroshima - Horizon (Funk D'Void's Hope mix) (Another track that starts off quite dark, but then come the most amazing, gentle synth pads. It's just a shame the sound quality in the youtube clip sucks :( )

Vince Watson - A Very Different World (Funk D'Void's Epic remix) (Beautiful deep techno, with a sound that just envelopes you. And for once, the youtube sound quality is actually really good!!!!)

Underworld - Dinosaur Adventure 3D (Funk D'Void Full Length remix) (A rarity in that I actually prefer the remix to the original Underworld track! Just a shame the youtube sound quality sucks :( )

E Dancer - Banjo (Funk D'Void remix) (This remix sounds even more like Kevin Saunderson than the original!!! I love the contrast between the emotional strings and the dark Reese bassline - a truly haunting techno track!!!)

Funk D'Void - Nineteen Ninety Two (Happy, deep, and melodic)

New Order - Someone Like You (Funk D'Void remix) (A truly epic remix!!! The New Order guitars work so well with Funk D'Void's trademark strings and bassline!!!)

:)

Spicelab is some mad music. Got to love how EDM artists always reference psychedelic sci-fi like Dune. =D
