naww candyflip i know you see things from both sides and thats cool
what i meant was, you see it from *todays* perspective, from a new perspective, because you're new to it... like *me*! i love a lot about todays scene, i have great times at parties, its absolutely my fave way to spend time (well, *nearly* teehee)
i'm trying to show the perspective of those who've been at it a lot longer (asym being one of them), cuz it was different.
and i think when people lash out at others who they consider arent there for the right reasons, its because the vibe has changed, the scene has changed and when they ask themselves "why is that?" then what you have seen is what they come up with, for better or for worse. they're just disappointed cuz things aint what they used to be, and if you've experienced something truly magical, and it goes away, you cant really blame anyone for being a bit upset about it.
it also comes down to a sense of community, and the more people involved in something, the less the sense of community that exists, it seems to be true for all things, and the rave scene is no different.
as it is, i think there are still so many great things about this scene. and candyflip you're with me in that, we have new vision and we experience it as it is *now* and have passion for it.
so to the ppl who feel a lil disappointed at how things are, at least try to focus on us newbies who *do* have the passion, for the music, for the people and the vibe and in some cases (ahem *cough*) even plur
its not all bad!
and it still beats playing the pokies (or something..) on a saturday night!
oh, and serotone, i'm sure i mailed you bout this.. but i'm SO interested in helping w/ yr party
