i think its a bit ironic that the article posted above mocking american edm/rave culture is coming from uk "ravers" who themselves have been buying into a corperate/mainstream dance culture since the late nineties based around the likes of gatecrasher cream paul oakenfold judge jules mario picotto etc only a few degrees of separation between the two cultures just uk have been at it much longer. cashing in on the dance music scene

, not to mention it's completely judgemental of people that you probably don't even know. There are plenty of true electronic music enthusiasts (or ravers if you want to call it that) and plenty of great EDM events in the states
