From what i remember its relatively non toxic, other than the batshit insane part of it.
If i remember right, when they were testing it on people at the Edgewood Arsenal (or something like that) they noticed groups of people they all gave it to seemed to share some hallucinations (eg some dude would ask another guy for a cigarette, other guy would pantomime getting a pack out but didnt actually have one, then "give" a (nonexistant) cigarette to the other guy, who would then say "thanks" and proceed to act out smoking a cigarette...
and also if i remember right people were playing something (ping pong?) together when there was no game or anything there...
