I live about 45 min outside of the downtown core if not longer so cabbing would be extremely expensive for a poor student.

Why is life so cruel? (jk it's not. I have a nice cushy spoiled life. :))

I'm going to Arty as well =D along with Mat Zo & Tommy Trash the week before. Usually when I go to events we'll either split the cab 5 ways ($80 total back to my place) or book a hotel at the sandman which is usually $95 at non-peak times

When on my EU trip I had 24hr layover in Madrid. We couldn't get a hostel because it was the final day of the Popes youth week. Most of the bars and clubs were closed out of respect. After stumbling around the main square we found were approached a promoter telling us hes hosting a pub crawl. For 20eu we got some bomb ass paella a 2 free beers and a freed drink at every bar/club we went to (we went to 5). Ended up getting hammered took the train to airport and slept at the gate till my flight LOL.

Most events at the clubs down here end at 3am, occasionally for bigger shows they'll get extended until 4am. Skytrain & bus doesn't really start up again until about 630am..

I can't either,I made the mistake of taking the night bus home with a few friends at 330 one night, I'd never do it again. I'd rather spend $20 and be warm

Warm hat, tracksuit bottoms and awesome friends help. Sucks having to take a bag out though but it's so worth it!

I tried once... it was piss cold (In canada) back in early october quite cold at pass 3AM... I finally made up my mind to walk my way back to the subway (took me a good 50mins of fast walking and almost got lost).
 
My issue is that I only got a group of 4 (including myself) at the best of times. Usually just me and one other or maybe two others. So splitting a cab from Downtown Vancouver back to North Delta isn't going to be cheap at all.

On a side note, not trying to self promote at all, but after just seeing zeds dead for a second time on thursday I couldn't help but throw together a mix tonight.

Eh, not really my style.. too dubby :p if I had any criticism it would be to play harder and faster music ;) I haven't turned it off though lol so you not that going for you!


You might want to work on the transitions though, they aren't entirely fluid.. not really a problem with the timing, more of the way it's equalized if that's how you say it haha



I need to get a mix recorded haha, haven't even tried in a long time. I just get on VDJ, spin for like an hour then hop off randomly

haha yeah after seeing them live again it just sparked the fire again. Mainly made it for a friend who was complaining that he couldn't find a decent mix online. Hopefully I'll get better with time, after all it's only my 6th mix since I got my controller. :)

As you can see by my other mixes (if you actually care to look haha) I'm more into electro house, house and trance haha.

Modestep are okay buy they always seem to draw an idiotic crowd that just want to push eachother about and `mosh`.

I find it kinda funny, I am always so happy as I am coming down. Sounds weird right? I don't know, I've just learned to love them and make the best of them. Last time we had to walk so far to a buddies house from a bus stop, everyone was complaining, I was cheerfully walking humming music with my buddies LED gloves on raving away in the middle of the road. :D

one of the best feelings is sparking up a nice fat blunt as the sun is rising. You and your mates are exhausted your still a bit twitchy and than you smoke. Some times the roll comes back some times your relaxed. For me that has to be one of the best feelings. That and waking up with your cellphone your car keys and your wallet.

Pretty much all my friends do this, it's the only time I wished I smoked.

why not just wait for the skytrains to start running. it's just a few hours haha

i used to do it all the time when i went raving a lot. I understand your issues with vancouver transit...
